Very addicting, but unfortunately very short. Was able to beat the game in around 4 hours of game-play. I would only be able to recommend it if it had more to it like achievements or a long-play mode to make it feel like a "fuller" experience.
Fun game. It is a repetitive timewaster to be transparent. For $10 it is a bit overpriced for content/time value.
I love the evolution to the game but for the 3rd level, I've been at a stale mate with the Orange Spiral Jabbers for over half an hour. I would considering making a different objective that can win the game as well since it is hard to win against a species that is only one of 4. It is a good game but you need to have previous knowledge if you want to win levels
Sad to rate this negative. The idea and concept are great. The execution needs work but is overall fun. But the content is too low. In my 1 hour playtime i finished 4 maps of like 9 or so. Unlike other Survivor-like games, here you dont have endless enemy cells to play with. They go extinct and once you reached the main goal of the map, you win and thats it. This can take like 10 minutes or so per map. The problem here by design is, that any map is too small and doesnt fill up with new cell types. If this was more like an endless body type of design, where you never run out of opponents, space and such, this would be great. Theres other things that cause problems by design. You generate a swarm, but they are often worse than your opponents. They take your food and thus your XP and they are aggressive at that. You kill an enemy to eat its remains? Tough luck, you get bumped away from its corpse while the others around you eat what you should get. Set that aside, when you cell dies, you get another one, but you lose your abilities and perks, rendering your previous work of eating and gaining levels pointless besides generating more cells for your swarm, which will eat your food and not give you anything in return. Some of its parts reminded me of Space Pirates and Zombies Map, where you slowly conquer areas and gain control over the map. But it never really gets to that point. All in all, with a few design tweaks this could work well. With a few content additions and nore of an endless concept, this would be incredible. However, it doesnt have any of this, its finished and wont receive any updates. So its a no. Not good enough. Great idea, bad execution, too less for the money.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. It took six hours to complete, and I think it will take another few hours to unlock everything. What is this game: If you think of the first stage of spore this is basically a more simplified version of that, there are upgrades for you to get and a levelling system, you dont physically add those upgrades its all under the hood (ie increased speed, etc). I hope the developer adds more, because it was a fun little game to play free from all the slop currently out there. And I want to play it more which means I want more upgrades etc.
Simple but fun! Would love to play this competitively with friends... Should add multiplayer mode.
Finished it in 5 hours with all achievements Its a bit short but a lot of fun You can build some really interesting builds, want to move so fast you clip out of the map? No problem just eat a bunch of sugar and carbs Want grow so big you take up the whole screen and cant move anymore? No problem just keep boosting you damage You can build full passive and slowly graze on the spawned resources or go full agro and eat your enemies to gain health regen damage reduction and even evolve faster. I was shocked on just how different every run can be if you try Just a pitty it only lasted 5 hours I might be able to make one or two more builds but I wont count on it
This game lets me live out my fantasy to be a single celled organism vibing and eating all day 12/10
A fun, addicting game where you can destroy ecosystems. what isn't there to love?
