A game about boredom and self-pity. It's about myself mostly. You walk around and press the 'interact' button. Sorry for making this.

I can't find any words to describe this game except jazzy. It's a confusing, deep feeling. And I can only relate that feeling to jazziness, whether or not that is true to others. I don't know why, really. Grand Central, performed by Cannonball Adderley, is absolutely fantastic, though. I have no words after finishing it. Played it again. Can confirm. Is legit.

♥♥♥♥ me, man
When I found this game in like 2020 I didn't expect it to be as in-depth as it was. I doubted it'd be a large thing to play so I put it off for... about a half decade. I was wrong. It was several hours past how long I thought it'd be and the art was way more impressive than initially appraised. The scribbly style is clearly done with purpose and hides some serious artistic skills. There's a part that looks like the most beautiful Monet painting that made my eyes bulge from surprise. Great soundtrack, too. Plus there are a lot of fun little special effects and interactions that are extremely impressive for a free game. I'd say give it a try, if you're looking to depress yourself a little. It's not all doom and gloom, there's a fun fellow hidden in the scribbles. Though it is rather slow (you slowly walk everywhere, which kinda makes sense since you don't see a lot of heroically depressed individuals sprinting all over the place) so know that if you're going in.
This game is unpolished, tedious, somewhat boring, and sometimes loud, but it is unapologetically itself and impressive in its tricks at the same time. It was too slow for me. But I can see it as a point of the narrative. The whole game I was strangely smiling, not just from jokes, but because I had experienced a lot of these thoughts before. I was smiling because I am not the only one who could not take eyes off the endless hole of the hopeless brain trying to save itself. I was smiling because despite everithing I saw person that made something beautiful. I was smiling because I saw maybe myself, and maybe that assured me that I can make something not perfect but something personal that will find its audience even if it is 1 person. And I think that I want to do so even more now. The things that scared me The things that broke me The bars that are made by your mind but not by you. It is hard to break out of, and it never truly goes away. But when you see it, it is so funny to see this shame that should have never deserved your attention. Being ashamed of circumstances that you never truly could have predicted. Breaking from things you are not in control of. Thinking that silence is hate. Hurting yourself from mistakes that you learn from. Being tied by feelings that you know are false. This is complete nonsense. All of this is absurd, stupid and Just a massive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Because shame can only break. I had to say it Probably for myself For the longest time I was avoiding being personal, being honest, in fear of judgement, but I want to be real at least here. Love you. :3
Игра 'Life Tastes Like Cardboard' - это уникальный и невероятно запоминающийся иммерсивный опыт.
Very emotionally impactful and relatable, with an amazingly weird soundtrack and art. I will not be forgetting about this game any time soon.
Wonderful soundtrack (it's like a 3 hour postrock album) and art. The drawings may look low-quality on the steam page, but they push that style as far as it can go. many interesting surprises:
for instance, found a computer in it with the full creative process - creator's notes, pictures of his house, assignments from elementary and high school, papers on kierkegaard and descartes, drawings from childhood, music demos, samples, his browser bookmarks, album reviews, inspirations, etc.
