I haven't played this game since 2016. Regardless of that, I did not enjoy it very much then and I don't look back on it fondly. It certainly is an 'of an era' video game that reeks of early-to-mid 2010s Tumblr. I can remember figuring out who the killer was immediately and pissing off my partner and our mutual friend who were in the room watching me play it, so that was a fun memory with this game. Just not for me.

I'm over a decade late on this but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, what a story and what a work of art. I love this. I think it's destined to become one of my favourite games. It made me cry more than once. I had to sit with the final choice open on my screen for several minutes, not exactly because I couldn't choose, but more because I didn't want to make the choice that I knew I had to, and I think any game that evokes that in a player is something truly special. I'm immediately wishlisting everything else in the franchise.

genuinely best game i've ever played, some takeaways from me is: this game is great if you're a person who thinks "what if i did something different" or "what if this happened instead of this" it beautifully conveys the message that maybe some things are meant to be, and change is inevitable. you cannot stay in one moment forever, you have to keep moving forward. the universe conspired to put you in the place you are today, and that is beautiful.
