They decided to finally give up and admit they weren't going to update it anymore when the "full game" was released in August 2021. I can assure you, this is a fiiiiine piece of abandonware to add to your collection.
It actually starts off pretty sweet and looks like it's going to be a great game but it doesn't take long for you to realize most of the game is unfinished and what is available is fairly buggy. It's a shame because it seemed so promising for a hot minute. :-(
Abandonware. Miners get stuck, building can't be repaired, can't upgrade townhall due to "Build workshop message" despite having workshop, soldiers stuck after archer tower destroyed, interface buggy, buttons don't always do what they're supposed to, etc. I stopped trying after 6 hours and 5 restarts, too many game breaking bugs.
This game i really gave it several tries to make it run well. pros: -an obvious copy of kingdom [looks a bit different tho] with a more heavy focus on colony management. -the whole concept and idea is really good and i like it. -the variety of heroes you can get is neat. -your hero has spells Cons: - tutorial will not tell you that to revive your hero you have to upgrade to the third level your main building thing, but once you learn that on your own, you can do it in next runs. -bugridden as fck -inplayable 99% of the time -dialogue will skip itself whenever it wishes -dialogue can also remove your user interface for the rest of your run, no matter how many times you reload, your interface is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gone. wanted to keep playing that run? too bad, delete it if you want your interface back. -random heads of heroes or npcs can replace your advisor for some reason? thankfully not a game ending bug, its just weird and sometimes hilarious. - each villager has like 3 or 4 lines they will repeat ad nauseum (at least you can mute the whole game) my experience: 15 lost runs due to bugs. - my villagers would not do what they were assigned (all of their needs were taken care of. so they had no excuse) - villagers chose to be stuck in the middle of nothing - destroyed buildings by enemies could not be removed - destroyed buildings by enemies will act as 'gone' but still would not let me build anything on top of it, not destroy them. - medics would not heal sick villagers (yes, they had plenty already made medicines) - sick villagers will not walk to the hospital because they are too busy being sick (coughing, getting hurt, walking back to the temple) - for some reason 1 enemy can attack like 10 times per hit. +your hero also can attack 10 times per hit if you spam attack - your hero will not attack normal villagers of the enemy, even if they are hitting the hero - your hero will refuse to attack anything that is not a building - your hero will refuse to attack any living thing that is not a nordic soldier. - buildings you destroyed will just remain there in a broken state, also not letting you build anything on top of it nor remove it completely. all of my runs were ended by either all of the bugs at once or just a couple of them at the same time. the most enraging ones were the dialogues that will remove my interface forever. In the very rare run that none of these bugs happened, [it was a miracle run] for some reason, when the nordics and the necromancers were killed, all of my healthy workers chose to stay still in the same pixel, pretending to walk, not going anywhere, just sitting there waiting to get sick and die or get killed. that's when i gave up. i tried so many times to have a run that would not end up broken by any random bug i gave so many tries to this game, i really absolutely wanted to love this. but in the state this is now, i cannot recommend it. and honestly i am not sure if this is even still being developed, but if it is, i hope the devs will try to fix at least 1 of the long ass list of bugs this has .. it has potential, it could be a really good game. it just does not work. 5/10 get it with a discount or for free. I liked the idea of this game - played a small amount - but was waiting for a more polished version - that didn't happen - the game was abandoned. Oh well!
I purchased the game in Early Access. In the beginning, development was fantastic. Fast forward 2 years into Early Access and it was all excuses, then a quick push to 1.0 without even fixing bugs from the alpha version. I don't review a ton of games, but I wanted to let you all know that this game has been dead for quite a while. I honestly cannot recommend this game.
This game has so much potential! I’d really like to continue playing it, but unfortunately it’s crippled by bugs. In two hours was having to restart the game by quitting and restarting, or ending the task about every fifteen minutes in order to progress.
Buggy and unfinished, despite promising potential. Bought this game yeeeeaaars ago, and it taught me not to (or to be more weary) about purchasing early access titles. Let that be a lesson kids, most early access is just a lazy way to get people to pay to be their play testers, or to trick you into buying an unfinished game so these SCAMMERS can make a quick buck.
Its a cool game, kingdoms like. But its still really buggy. I wouldn't buy it in its current state. The late game is almost unplayable. If the bugs were patched, and a ideally a few simple interface updates applied, Id pay $10 to maaaaaybe $20. But that said, after you figure out the build order, it's really lacking content :/ Its almost a great time. Just needs a lil more love and attention
Умерла, так умерла.
