About
Libertine: King of Hearts is an immersive sim/dating sim following the story of Richard as he accidentally gets pulled into a gang war between Libertine's rival gangs. After a job gone wrong, Richard finds himself fighting for his life while scrambling to find the secret hidden beneath the city.
Sneak, shoot and combine various gadgets to engage with your enemies. Use physics objects in each level to trip, knock out or distract your opponents. Throw your spy cam to tag enemies, destroy lights to make it easier to sneak, or build yourself cover with your environment.
Try your luck romancing 5 different characters each with their own unique questline intertwined with the main quest. Some just want to have fun, but others are trying to come to terms with their dark past. Each character has explicit romance scenes for the player to discover, but if you’d rather play the game without the adult content, all adult scenes can be set to fade to black and all nudity can be censored.

Not bad for a small project. Don't expect perfection, but it's surprisingly well rounded and complete. It seems to have the philosophy of, if you're going to have a mature story, you might as well have mature content, too. This game doesn't seem to hold back from actual creativity, which takes me back to when games were great. The label "dating sim" is a little misleading. The game is very linear, which I kind of expected, but I'm just tempering any expectations of "choices matter," even if they matter a bit. I'd say that you should think of it as a good game that has sexual content, rather than a sexual content game that has other good qualities. As someone who gets bad motion sickness from games, it was manageable after some settings changes.
Very interesting game concept, so far, ive had excitment, fun, a couple of boners and to be honest... I dont remember the last time a game made me laugh out loud like this game did! References to memes, nudity, violence, hot babes and offbeat jokes, sheet... I need more of this in my life. Disclaimer, I did not complete the game yet, only on mission 3 ... but, I left a message regarding the footstep sound being too loud and annoying on the forum and the developer fixed it THE NEXT DAY for that reason alone, I MUST leave a positive review and recommend this game!
To start off, this is a very fun game for what it is. Surprisingly so due to the 20$ price point, the one man dev team, and the fact that most games with adult content like this tend to just hyper focus in on that one aspect and the rest of the game gets neglected. I don't want to create unrealistic expectations, it is developed by one person (even though that's hard to tell sometimes by what he was able to pull off in this) so don't come in expecting some kind of AA title, BUT the price point reflects what's offered perfectly. If it was 30 it might be a little harder to give a blanket recommendation but at 20 that's a fair price for what on offer and its well worth it IMO. Now for some pros and cons. Pros: -20$ price point -The story is engaging (albeit a bit corny at times) and enjoyable -The combat is actually pretty fun once you get used to the eccentricities. -Good variety of weapons and skills (including one that lets you strip any NPC naked to cause a distraction!) -Stealthing can be really fun once you get used to the controls (which i did have a bit of trouble with) -The characters provide depth to the story and get you more invested. As i mentioned before some things can be a bit corny but its more corny in a charming way than in any negative connotation. -The game has the perfect balance of combat, story, and adult content -Speaking of the adult scenes (I think there are 11 scenes all total), they are really well done and have a great variety of different characters and poses and such. There's even a POV switcher so you can see each scene from different angles and the character models are very well done. Also due to the nature of the story and how we get to know all of the girls before the romance scenes it adds weight and depth to the romances so its not JUST a romance scene, your more invested in the characters and their interactions with you have more weight. Like a SUPER adult Mass Effect or Cyberpunk 2077 style of romance -Dev is very responsive to any issues you run into and will answer and try to help pretty fast from what I've seen and experienced -Didn't run into any major bugs, my PC isn't the best and i had no issues running this game Cons -The voice acting wasn't great. TBF it seems it was all done by the dev and just edited to differentiate the characters but it can sound stunted, unnatural and the tone can be a bit off at times (the MC sounded like my buddy Dustin so i didn't really mind it, but i could see it bothering some) -As stated above its a bit corny at time's but there's a charm to it so it just depends what you tolerance is for that sort of thing -The boss fights are my least favorite part of the game. Damage sponges from hell and if you leave your companion out, the boss will kill them with the quickness and game over (luckily there is an option to hide your companions during these instances which is an absolute necessity) found those more annoying than fun. -Sometimes the minutia can get overlooked such as at the beginning of the game we're told the gun store is closed due to local regulations but we're never informed its open again and its the only place you can purchase attachments for your guns and refill your special ammo (C4 and other traps) so i went most the game without those things due to the game not informing me it was available after it specifically stated that it wasn't. -Also when you learn a new thing and the tutorial button prompt comes up it shows the controller button and not the keyboard button and i couldn't figure out how to change it. (could be cus i tried to play with controller for a bit but there were too many differences to easily bounce between them so i stayed with keyboard and the game could've just stuck with controller for tutorials) -Some of the controls can be difficult to get used to. My main issue being the jump then crouch feature in order to clear some of the higher obstacles. This very well could be a me problem but I've never seen it done in any of the hundred or so games I've played over the years so it did bother me. Besides a few instances its not really a necessity though, so its not a big issue. In closing i think this game is well worth your time and money (its only 20 bucks) if the description and gameplay trailers appeal to you, there is definitely fun to be had with this title. Its obvious in every instance that this is a labor of love and the dev poured his heart and soul into this and had enough skill to actually realize his dream. I truly hope we see more from him in the future because i had a great time with this.
I have... never played an adult game before. I have published 3 separate haremlit books, never played a game. this drew my eye. I was not disappointed. I wish there was a button to do this anonymously, but cowabunga it is - This game has some serious clunk to it, but I see the vision the creator was going for. The shooting and fighting aspect of it is serviceable, but could use some tweaks in the long run, as the boss fights could into an un-fun slog or die immediately after their pathing got caught on a random chair. As for the, er, meat and potatoes of this game, the writing was decent and my biggest critique is something that I hope will be fixed by more sales of this game - the AI voices. Please, for the love of ♥♥♥♥, invest the proceeds of this game into proper VA's for the next one, I am begging you! the Mr peenersnifferman AI took me out every time I heard him overall recommendation - buy it, support a small dev, expect a sometimes rough experience
the ending was a better then i was expecting. hoping to see a bit more end game content but all in all great story, good gun play would play other titles made by this dev.
The very first impression is unholy amount of junk and somewhat weird gameplay, but then it just started to grow on me and by the end of a play-through I found myself really enjoying the game. The shooting and stealth mechanics are quite basic, but there are enough situations that require you to turn on your brain and engage with what’s happening on screen. The plot, characters, cinematic cutscenes and sex-scenes are janky, but are made with a soul and have a lot of attention to details. Like the whole thing is kind of scuffed, but it’s so sincere and unique that I can’t help but fall in love with the game.
This is one of the most disappointing refunds I've ever requested. Terrible story, voice acting, and gameplay. Why the hell didn't they make this a spy thriller, or a heist game, or something besides what this is? If you want an idea of the stealth combat look no further than the store page. That gif of the little chair going down the stairs and touching a guard? That's how you knock out enemies in this game. Kill a guard with a gun and within a minute his buddies will forget that even happened and go back on patrol. If for some reason you do want to play this game don't forget the music can be turned off in the main menu.
This game had me really surprised in how good it actually was. Both the preformance and the gameplay may not be a "typical AA or AAA standard", but it does bring a very good quality next to a good story writting, uniqe characters and very good quality in the "love scenes". This adult game have less bugs than some AAA studios out there, and you get what you paid for. 9/10 was my experience out of this game, the only thing that was not the best part was the voice acting, some character did have better voice then others. But this developer dont have a army of people to help, so in totale I think this game was made really done well! This game is one of my favorite adult game out there, both me and my wife enjoyed it. I hope there will be some DLC`s in the future, people should really try this game and enjoy it. Maybe we will see more great games out of this developer too. <3
Amazing work! I never leave comments but this absolutely deserves one! Dev is engaging and helpful. Unbelievable to have made this by themselves (with very limited help). Surprised by the amount of content in the whole game. It will be the first game I play 'New Game +' on. The facial expressions are some of, if not, the best I've seen in any game! One relaxed playthrough took me 20 hours :) P.S. I appreciate the note in the credits about the Irish (IYKYK)
i got it and did not stop laughing or having fun the whole time 10/10
