About
Letters from the War is a modern reimagining of text adventure games with a new gameplay based on postal censorship during Second World War. You will take the role of a newly hired employ of the Censorship Authority, where your actions will impact on the future of your nation.
Censor letters coming from soldiers at the front trying to understand what you need to do not to be fired. Censoring critical information you will get commendations from your boss, but the citizens who youl receive the letters will not understand their content. Leaving the information readable you will risk to be fired in order to let the people know what is really happening. What will you do? Will you find the correct balance?
The game takes place in Vitulia, a fictional country involved in Second World War. An authoritarian regime rules in Vitualia, which controls the masses thanks to its supervision on public information. Will you change that?
Experience a well-finished pixel art and an original soundtrack that will immerse you in the atmosphere of those years. Newspaper, letters and country spots were created, along with the music pieces, taking inspiration from first half of last century sources, but redesigned to enhance player experience.

yeah
great game shout out the devs hope they make another one
It's alright, a solid time-passer. 10-15 minute game. Not much to say about it.

A nice and quick game. It does have the structure to become a full game with just these mechanics. Like add more letters for each day, a mechanic to show how much you censored correctly or something, and some extra sfx, and this can be a great game that i would recommend people to buy. I wish the newspaper would reflect the state of the nation negatively if you censored stuff incorrectly, it would be a nice touch. Overall a great short game!
I like the aesthetic and the general concept of the game. It reminds me a lot of Papers, please. But it was way too short and the grammar could do some work. I'd recommend it if you have some time to kill.

ага
Pretty simple game, definitely takes inspiration from papers please. It may just be an artistic choice but the fact the employer's face is borderline censored feels like its supposed to mean something. Fun 15 minute game to get at least two endings. Though it abruptly ends once you achieve them, making you start all over again with no way to skip the intro.
