Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Let's Learn Japanese! Hiragana is an educational title developed and published by Dr. Cyril Splutterworth that takes a focused, gamified approach to teaching one of the most fundamental components of the Japanese writing system: hiragana. Rather than presenting itself as a dense academic tool or textbook replacement, the game positions learning as an interactive, low-pressure experience. Its goal is clear and specific—help players recognize, read, and internalize all standard hiragana characters—and it commits fully to that mission without overcomplicating its structure. The design philosophy behind the game centers on repetition through varied interaction. Instead of relying solely on static flashcards, it introduces hiragana characters gradually through mini-games and simple challenges that reinforce sound-symbol associations. Players are prompted to match characters with their romanized equivalents, identify correct pronunciations, and respond quickly under light time pressure. These activities are intentionally straightforward, ensuring that beginners are not overwhelmed. The learning curve is gentle, allowing new students of Japanese to build familiarity at a comfortable pace while still feeling engaged by the interactive format. One of the strengths of Let’s Learn Japanese! Hiragana lies in its structured progression. Characters are not presented all at once; instead, they are introduced in manageable groups and revisited frequently to strengthen retention. This cyclical exposure mirrors effective language-learning techniques, where spaced repetition and contextual reinforcement play key roles in memorization. Over time, recognition becomes more intuitive, and players often find themselves recalling characters automatically rather than through conscious effort. The sense of gradual mastery is further supported by Steam achievements, which provide small but satisfying milestones as learners complete character sets and challenges. The presentation is clean and functional, prioritizing clarity over elaborate visuals. Menus are easy to navigate, and the interface avoids unnecessary distractions that might interfere with concentration. Japanese audio accompanies many of the characters, giving players exposure to accurate pronunciation while reinforcing auditory memory. This integration of sound alongside visual recognition adds depth to the learning process and helps bridge the gap between reading and listening comprehension. While the graphics are minimalistic, they serve their educational purpose effectively by keeping the focus on the script itself. In terms of scope, the game is intentionally narrow. It focuses exclusively on hiragana and does not expand into katakana or kanji, which form the other essential components of written Japanese. For some learners, this limited scope may feel restrictive. However, this singular focus is also a strength. By concentrating on one foundational writing system, the game avoids cognitive overload and provides a clear, achievable goal. For absolute beginners, mastering hiragana alone is a significant milestone, and this title ensures that the process remains approachable and manageable. Community reception has been largely positive, with many players praising the game’s simplicity and effectiveness for its intended purpose. It is often described as a helpful supplement rather than a comprehensive course. Those who approach it expecting a full language curriculum may find it lacking in depth, but players seeking a structured and interactive introduction to hiragana frequently express satisfaction. The low price point and cross-platform availability further enhance its accessibility, making it an easy addition to a broader language-learning toolkit. Ultimately, Let’s Learn Japanese! Hiragana succeeds by embracing its identity as a focused educational game. It does not attempt to revolutionize language learning or replace formal instruction. Instead, it offers a practical, engaging way to build a foundational skill through repetition, interactivity, and steady progression. For newcomers to Japanese who prefer learning through gameplay rather than traditional study methods, it provides a welcoming and effective starting point on the path toward literacy. Rating: 8/10

Easy and fun engaging learning
