A game inspired by the 1991 Amiga/C64 classic Gem'X, that gets remade over 20 years later for a planned release on the now long-dead Amiga and Dreamcast with almost no one noticing, eventually finding its way to Steam in 2014, and taking me another 11 years just to find it? This is the definition of a... hidden Gem'X ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) And Gem'X is a classic for a reason, it's not just the quirky anime girls confessing their love for you. it's a genuinely great puzzle game, with Leona's Tricky Adventures basically being the adventure mode to the original's more arcade-like structure. While the game appears unfinished in some parts, you still get 457 gem puzzles to solve, keeping you entertained for well over 10 hours. And they mix up the rules later on in some clever ways as well, so it never gets boring. They also got rid of the time limit of the original, so you can just chill, enjoy the cute presentation, and vibe to the amazing soundtrack (as expected with legend Chris Hülsbeck's involvement). Good times!
Do time original, apenas o músico trabalhou nesse remake.
Not to be confused with a match-3 game, in Leona's Tricky Adventure, you click to change groups of gems, to make the gems in the left grid match those in the right. It's a fairly simple formula, but compelling. It also features both charming graphics and catchy tunes that would feel right at home on a SNES. Unfortunately, the difficulty rises far too slowly, and just as you get into the challenging puzzles, the game ends. On the other hand, it's still fun just to piece the puzzles together without brain strain. It is a bit disappointing that puzzles featuring different gem groups are not used more often, but it's not a big deal. There is also an issue where it's hard to tell when you've 100%'d the game, as there are a few more puzzles than you need to complete the game, and places that suggest you might be able to get to them if there were even more puzzles. Possibly more content was planned, but they didn't have time to finish it. There is still plenty of game regardless. Oh, and there might not be an autosave. If there was, it wasn't working for me. So, while a bit lacking in challenge and variety, Leona's Tricky Adventure provides a nice relaxing puzzle game with excellent presentation.
A simplistic Puzzle game that is deceptively fun to play.i'm surprised how much i actually enjoy this little game. I give me flash backs to columns on the Sega Genesis just a tad, it is Point and click as a default control scheme though. Kudos to Leona's Tricky adventures-it lives up to it's name
