It was not clear to me in the demo just how much genAI was in the game/was going to be in the game at release. I realize that the description says "AI is used in some audio and visual components," but it was not made clear in any other aspect of the game. I had downloaded a bunch of demos without reading the description during Steam Next Fest, and I completely missed the disclaimer and didn't recognize the assets for AI at the time. Within a few minutes of booting up the full game, I realized some of the assets were AI-generated, and then I started to notice it more and more. Now that I've seen it, I can't un-see it. Realizing how many of the assets are AI-generated, I've completely lost interest. It pulls me out of enjoying the game completely. The dev team can have their reasons, I'm not going to moralize about it or go on a tangent about it in a Steam review. I just don't want to play games full of genAI assets. I especially don't want games that I've spent money on to be full of genAI assets, and I will not recommend that anyone else spend money on a game full of genAI assets. I will be getting a refund.
The game has a lot of potential, but it lacks content and unfortunately has a lot of AI art. It's super basic, and needs a lot more work like you can see there are areas blocked off and there's a second level but you never get to unlock it. I wish the aliens had more variety too. There's just not enough to do and it becomes repetative very quickly. I stuck it out for a while before giving up. I do like the idea of illegal earth fruit trade and a speak easy, but it's not enough to carry the game. Even those parts lack content like you don't have much room to grow fruit and can't expand that section, and the bar doesn't actually let you mix drinks or even make much money for the effort considering 1 drink is 1 whole bottle. I played it for a while until I took a look and realised the wall art decorations were all AI slop, and according to the forum, the music is AI too. We all know how real people's art is scraped without permission to smush together crappy "art" to create this. There is zero excuse because unless you can show the art was ethically sourced, it's just theft.
Legitimate Space Corp Simulator LLC, developed by VHornet Games and published by PlayWay S.A., is a tongue-in-cheek management and simulation game that leans hard into satire while offering a relaxed, approachable take on running a space-faring business. It positions the player as the proud manager of a “totally legitimate” space corporation, operating a station that sits somewhere between a cosmic truck stop and a barely regulated interstellar convenience hub. From the outset, the game makes it clear that humor and accessibility are its priorities, shaping an experience that is more about lighthearted problem-solving than punishing economic optimization. The core loop revolves around maintaining and expanding your space station while catering to a steady stream of alien visitors. Day-to-day tasks include restocking shelves, refueling ships, managing storage, and keeping essential systems operational. These responsibilities are intentionally grounded in familiar simulator mechanics, but they are framed through an absurd sci-fi lens that keeps the routine engaging. A shipment isn’t just supplies—it might include dubious fuel blends or questionably certified alien snacks. Customers aren’t just NPCs passing through; they are odd, expressive creatures whose needs and behaviors reinforce the game’s comedic tone. Progression is tied to gradual expansion and customization of the station. As profits grow, players can unlock new modules, upgrade facilities, and reorganize the layout to improve efficiency and capacity. This sense of growth is one of the game’s strongest motivators, as the station slowly evolves from a modest outpost into a bustling interstellar hub. While the underlying systems are not especially complex, the visual and functional feedback of expansion provides a steady sense of accomplishment that keeps the loop satisfying over longer sessions. What sets Legitimate Space Corp Simulator LLC apart from more serious management games is how it blends routine management with deliberately bizarre side activities. Maintaining alien greenhouses, experimenting with unusual crops, or engaging with quirky in-station mini-games adds texture to the experience and breaks up the monotony of restocking and refueling. These elements rarely introduce significant risk or challenge, but they reinforce the game’s playful identity and encourage experimentation without fear of catastrophic failure. The humor is consistent and central to the game’s identity. Corporate jargon, mission descriptions, and system messages are written with a dry, self-aware tone that pokes fun at both sci-fi tropes and real-world corporate culture. The joke is rarely subtle, but it is effective at making even mundane tasks feel amusing rather than tedious. For players who enjoy satire and absurdist humor, this framing is a major strength, though those seeking a more immersive or serious sci-fi setting may find the tone too light to fully invest in. Visually, the game adopts a clean, readable style that prioritizes usability over spectacle. Station interiors, interfaces, and NPCs are designed to be instantly understandable, which is crucial in a management sim where clarity directly affects enjoyment. Animations and models are serviceable rather than flashy, but they support the game’s tone well, keeping the focus on interaction rather than presentation. Sound design and music are similarly understated, providing atmosphere and feedback without becoming intrusive or repetitive. Community reception reflects the game’s casual ambitions. Many players appreciate its low-pressure approach, forgiving systems, and consistent humor, often describing it as a comfortable “wind-down” simulator rather than a demanding strategy game. Criticism typically centers on the relative simplicity of its mechanics and the limited depth of its economic systems, which can cause the experience to plateau once all major upgrades are unlocked. For some, the joke-driven presentation may also lose its novelty over time, especially during extended play sessions. Taken as a whole, Legitimate Space Corp Simulator LLC succeeds by knowing exactly what it wants to be. It does not aim to compete with hardcore tycoon simulators or deeply systemic management games. Instead, it offers a relaxed, comedic sandbox that celebrates small tasks, steady growth, and sci-fi absurdity. For players who enjoy approachable simulators with personality and humor—and who are happy to trade complexity for charm—it provides a satisfying and entertaining management experience set among the stars, proudly operating under the banner of corporate legitimacy that is clearly only half true. Rating: 7/10
Cons: I think this is an EA without the name. Too many Bugs, not game breaking tough, some amusing, some annoying after a while. Many systems feel missing, maybe they'll come, maybe they don't. Some bugs will be listed at end of comment. Pro: I like the game, not gonna lie. First shop simulator game I did not play with 2 or 5 times the game speed, because I constanly could expand and do new interesting stuff, the pacing feels great. Some Bugs: -Carts glitching through station becoming unreachable
-Robot helper fuelling ship you just fueled, teleporting the ships back (creating two visuals of the ship) looks fun at least -Restocker helper doing nothing. Exiting to Main menu and loading game helps (helps with almost all bugs) - Introducing systems that are seemingly not used, like serving food, but food is never requested.
- Npc's being randomly lost, or staying in place for days like a visual bug (loging out and in ftw once again) NEW Bugs 04 Feb. 26: - Mouse movement now dramatically changes speed depending on where you look. This can give you motion sickness. - Tank helper now has also gotten issues, where he reufses the fill up ships if you ever refuel your storage tank. EDIT 04 Feb. 26: I apologize, but can no longer recommend the game. The Bugs are becoming too much. The current fix which adressed not important gameplay issues (for me) now introduced motion sickness. I am getting to an age where I am no longer willing to be a QA person for a released 1.0 game. The game has potential, the gameloop is good, the new ideas are great, but it feels like the devs have little experience writing games, and / or did not want to spring for QA testers, at least these are the Vibes I get. In the end Potential does no longer matter when a game is claimed and sold as 1.0.
AI slop
I'm enjoying my time in this sim. Is it a "bit of everything" sim? Yes, yes it is. Does it have some AI art and sound? Yes, yes it does. Does that detract from my enjoyment? No, not even a little. If the dev keeps to the roadmap and continues to work on bugs, I'll keep spending time with this product.
Has potential, but unfortunately has a lot of AI generated art and music.
I attempted to give this a game a solid good shot as it's been on my wishlist for a bit now. This game is let's just say, incredibly basic. Now, I know most simulators usually are pretty basic in some ways more than way, but theres that uniqueness to 90% of simulators that you don't see. However, in this game it's simple, nothing interesting or unique really stands out, other than I guess it taking place in space? Other than that, this game literally has AI artwork plastered everywhere. I have mixed feelings about AI art and I'm not one to judge if a indie developer uses it, however this is just insane how much it is plastered everywhere you see. I tried to enjoy this game, but nothing at all stuck out to me and it got incredibly boring really fast.
I love it. People complaining about all the A.I. use. who cares ha, it's genuinely a fun game :)
