Great game! A squirrel exploring a cute world full of lovely characters. I mean, who doesn't like squirrels, right? Game is relaxing and I enjoyed it a lot

Heute zusammen mit meinem Kind gespielt – lustig, kinderfreundlich, zugänglich. Entspanntes kleines Spiel – schön, dass es noch so Indie-Developer gibt!

Entspannte Atmosphäre, lustige Dialoge bei denen ich mehrmals richtig Lachen musste, coole Minispiele und nette Story, erinnert mich an Mario 64 :)

Die Welt ist schön bunt, die Musik entspannt und das Gleiten mit dem Blatt macht richtig Spaß. Dazu gibt’s jede Menge witzige Minispiele. Total gemütlich und perfekt zum Abschalten zwischendurch.

Leafing Home is a charming, heartwarming gem that hooked me right from the start! Playing as a little squirrel with a magical leaf ability, you explore a vibrant world filled with quirky characters and diverse challenges. The mix of exploration, platforming, flight mechanics, and minigames is perfectly balanced and offers something for everyone. The visuals are delightful, and the music beautifully enhances the cozy atmosphere. The attention to detail, like the funny birds or clever environmental puzzles, constantly brings a smile. The story about journeying home and saving nature is simple yet inspiring. It’s perfect for a relaxing weekend or a quick escape when you want to unwind. Leafing Home is a must-play for fans of cozy indie games with heart. Highly recommended!

Das Spiel macht sehr viel Spaß, egal ob jung oder alt. Die meisten MiniGames haben unterschiedliche Schwierigkeitsgrade, daher für jeden geeignet und machbar. Ich kann das Spiel mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen!!

A broken and poorly designed 3D Platformer. Leafing Home is a 3D platformer game about a squirrel trying to get back back to its family and get back a fruit stolen by a blue-footed booby. The squirrel needs to explore various locations, clean up rubbish, plant seeds, and help local birds along the way. The game has a cartoonish aesthetic, reminiscent of early 3D platformers such as Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, or Spyro the Dragon. The main gameplay consists of picking up rubbish and findng and planting seeds to advance in the game. In addition, NPCs give you quests in exchange for seeds, items, or cosmetic clothing. The game offers a number of minigames for variety. I did not enjoy my time with this game. It does not control well for a platformer, the jumping and gliding feel off, and there seem to be odd input delays. My biggest gripe with the game is its poor optimisation and numerous bugs and glitches. I played on a SteamDeck, and was unable to get a consistent 30fps framerate at a decent graphics setting... the same machine that can run Marvel's Spider-Man at 40 fps at a high graphics setting. This is just inexcusable for a game that looks like this. Even weirder is that other characters in the game have extremely choppy animations, probably to avoid reducing the framerate even further. Glitches such as clipping through or getting stuck in objects happen a lot. In addition to a camera that refuses to behave, this is a nightmare to play. Game-breaking bugs that force me to restart the game aren't helping, either. Not even the options menu works as it should. Every time I restarted the game, I had to go to the invert-camera setting, then check and un-check the option to get the camera-option right. How does nonsense like this even happen? Music is fine but forgettable, and the visuals are fairly ugly and devoid of charm. Minigames are mostly repetitive and/or tedious, the worst one being easily the one where you have to carefully navigate a slow and fragile ship through a reef and collect around 90 pieces of rubbish. And this isn't optional. Miss one piece, and the game doesn't let you advance. I had to suffer through the same course three times before I finally completed it. I probably finished about half the game, but I've seen more than enough. The game is boring, doesn't play well, isn't nice to look at, and is broken beyond belief. I got it during a sale for 2 euros, and even that feels like too much. If you want a cutesy 3D platformer, do yourself a favour and look somewhere else.

Ein wirklich schönes Indie-Spiel! Die liebevoll gestalteten Grafiken und die abwechslungsreichen Minispiele sorgen für jede Menge Unterhaltung. Die Dialoge und Charaktere sind humorvoll. Es gibt einiges zu entdecken, und durch die immer neuen Herausforderungen bleibt es dauerhaft spannend. Ich freue mich aufs Weiterspielen. :-)

Ich habe es zusammen mit meiner kleinen Nichte angespielt, sie war begeistert und wir haben es genossen! Wir werden es definitiv durchspielen und freuen uns auf mehr!

I'm not a huge gamer, but this is awesome. It looks a bit like the old games, but I like it. Learning how to glide took me a short while but it feels nice. The minigames are cool! And the beeeeees!
