Last Pirates: Die Together

Let's start with the good: I really enjoyed the graphics. I got to play a few different levels last night and they all look great, feel different, and are fun to explore. The enemy creatures, when I wasn't crapping my pants hiding under a table, were also well put together. I love the blend of horror and comedy that the game has going on. The devs really nailed it. The gameplay loop is also great. One of the things that is big for me as a casual gamer with very limited time to game is being able to accomplish something in short sessions. I have MAYBE an hour to game a few nights per week, so I need to be able to hop on and hop off and feel like I got something done. Performance was also really nice. I had a mid tier computer, play at 1440p, and was able to have a very smooth experience with everything maxed out. Smooth as butter, daddy! Let's hop onto the not so good: Bugs! It's early access, baby. You should already know what to expect. To be honest, it's pretty polished for an early access game, but I did encounter some clipping, some instances where I was trapped under something and couldn't get out, and some difficulty flipping the wheelbarrow or cauldron at times. I also have to warn you, so far this game doesn't seem very solo friendly. I played a few additional matches last night and I gotta say... these enemies are HARD. Maybe I'm just not good at this type of game, but the enemies are all over the map and they hit like tanks. Maybe this is something that will be fine tuned down the line, but right now IT HURTS! You may have a hard time if you don't have friends on here and don't like playing with randoms. Lastly, can we PLEASE browse public lobbies. My parents didn't raise me right and I actually LIKE talking to strangers. It's always weird to me when games like this make it hard to group up with others. You CAN join other via quick join, but I would like to option to browse through all the games being hosted. Now, this is an early access game, so there's a good chance that many of these issues will be addressed in the future and all things considered, this game is a great value. At full price it will be $7.99, but it is on sale for $6.39 until September 1st. I bought a sub for more than that at a gas station yesterday and it gave me diarrhea.
