About

Early Access - A tribute to the old-school RPGs (Phantasie, Wizardry, Ultima, Might and Magic, Diablo), BBS MUDs (Tele-arena, MajorMUD, The PIT and Blademaster) of the 1990s and early MMORPGs (Everquest). Landonia is a hardcore old-school, open-world and non-linear single-player, turn-based RPG that includes possibilities of parties upto 16 player-characters, treasures, grinding, questing, and classic cRPG play. There are numerous factions that can be allied with or fought against, and NPCs will battle each other if the circumstances arise.
Game has a story-mode and separate arena battle-royale mode:
Upto 16 player characters that you create can be used interchangeably in either mode. Items, gold, and experience carry over from each mode.
Two modes of combat that the player can change at anytime:
(Default) Action RPG style for quicker styles of play!
Control 1 player in continuous mode, with (upto-15) party members supporting you automatically based upon your party settings.
Classic Turn-Based.
Control every player when it is their turn to move. For more tactical play!

Landonia gives off a nice old-school RPG vibe for people who enjoy classic grind-focused games. I liked the different classes, party system, and overall progression style. Exploring the world, collecting loot, and slowly getting stronger feels pretty satisfying. Some animations and controls still feel a little rough around the edges, but it’s nice to see the game getting updated regularly. Considering it was made by a solo developer, it offers more content and depth than I expected. Overall, it’s a fun indie RPG to relax with and I’d recommend giving it a try if you enjoy classic progression-focused games.
If you miss the charm of old-school cRPGs and the vibe of classic games built around exploration, grinding, and pure freedom, Landonia is definitely worth your time. It truly feels like a passion project, which is even more impressive considering it's being built by a solo developer. The game doesn't hold your hand. After a straightforward introduction, you are left to explore the world at your own pace, experiment with a surprising variety of classes, races, and skills, and build your party exactly how you want. The gameplay loop—gathering loot, leveling up, and slowly feeling your characters get stronger—is incredibly satisfying and perfect for a chill, relaxing gaming session. An unexpected highlight is the soundtrack, which is brilliantly chosen and adds massive layers to the overall atmosphere. That being said, since it's an Early Access title, it definitely has some rough edges: Controls and UI can feel a bit awkward or confusing at first, though they start to click and feel much better after you put some time into them. Visuals and fonts are still quite rough, unpolished, and inconsistent in certain areas. Stability issues: The game is prone to occasional crashes and repetitive error codes, meaning performance and optimization still need serious work. However, the potential here is huge. The solo dev drops constant updates, proving that the project is actively moving in the right direction, and the sheer depth of the progression systems already exceeds expectations for an early indie build. If you can push past the initial onboarding hurdle and the technical hiccups typical of Early Access, you’ll find a highly ambitious throwback RPG. It's well worth supporting, especially since constructive feedback can really help shape the game right now. Looking forward to seeing this one grow!
The game is gravely in early development. Cons: Uses AI generated intro cut-scene that should not exist. Please don't. Extremely cluttered UI The dev seems to have forgotten there exists a mouse and not just a keyboard Pros: I see a vision. Somewhere. I love supporting indie development, however, this is very garrish on the eyes, and not quite ready for launch. Perhaps a kickstarter or a patreon project at best. I shall one day revisit this to see its progress.
Fun little game, I wasn't able to play for as long since it crashed a couple times and then crashed the whole computer. But what I did get to play was fun, the tutorial was a little short, but I was able to figure out most of everything that wasn't covered. Controls are a little weird, but overall not too bad, just a bit of an adjustment period. I didn't get very far on exploration, but I did notice that the quests are a little hard to follow. Still if I wanted a little rambling and combat it is a decent game to boot up
A experiência é penosa. Entendo que ser solo dev é difícil. O melhor é começar com algo mais simples e com o tempo ir incrementando. Analisar, repensar e reestruturar.
