Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my initial impressions review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/lmTiZmXbwos This is the best VR game I have played in 2023 so far. I was absolutely pleasantly surprised by this game. However, this game is definitely not perfect and it does have its issues. The biggest thing is just that it needs more polish, it needs a better UI & inventory system, and some of the VR interactions could be better. It only has teleportation and snap turning as well, which I would prefer full / smooth locomotion and smooth turning. The best thing about this game is definitely the visuals. This game looks absolutely gorgeous. It's very scenic. It has some pretty good physics as well, I was not expecting that at all. The ambient sounds are nicely done. The quests that you do are realistic, which is surprising. One of them has you building a ladder so that you can cross a dilapidated bridge. You also craft an axe and it's very immersive doing so. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps. The only issues I noticed is that sometimes you will teleport and you will get into an area you're not supposed to and the game goes dark. You have to move out of the spot physically to be able to teleport again. Some of the objects will get stuck into each other as well. I did have to turn off FSR2 which is on by default to be able to read the text. While this game gives you the option to play seated, when I tried that, I was too high off the ground and then couldn't reach items on the ground and if I lowered the height, then I was too low to the ground. So I ended up having to play standing. Overall, I really enjoyed playing this game. It's the best VR game that I have played in 2023 so far. I was surprised by just how good it is. It's nice to have a good VR game after all the flops that have come to PCVR. I didn't hear any hype about this game, but hopefully word gets out. It's only $10 USD normal price and 10% off at release. This is a must buy. Rate 8/10. Must Buy VR game. Trust me and if you don't agree, feel free to unsubscribe from my YouTube.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. This game is fantastic. Complete sleeper gem, had no idea this releasing today or even existed until I was browsing the VirtualReality subreddit and saw a video demo of the sandbox area. For $10 you get an incredibly versatile and polished carpentry system, beautiful graphics, an actual story and objectives to use that carpentry system plus a nice smithing and crafting system, and a sandbox mode where you can play with anything and build to your heart's content. I can't speak to the length of the story mode but I feel like I've already gotten my money's worth considering that when I finish the story content there is the sandbox mode for me to play with and I could definitely sink hours into it if my current life schedule wasn't so busy. Negatives: My biggest request is for a smooth locomotion option. The game feels incredibly fluid and because your hands and everything you hold interacts with the environment you get very grounded and immersed, until you spam the teleport 20 times in a row to get across the courtyard of the starting area. I think a smooth locomotion option would make me enjoy the game even more and increase the length of time I can play comfortably per session. Similarly in the immersion vein, it would be nice to have the hands react to me gripping my controllers (I currently play on Index Controllers) or moving my thumb around on the capacitive buttons even when I'm not holding something.
Experienced on PICO 4 Using Virtual Desktop
This is a great game. It is a crafting/dismantling puzzler. It takes place in a mountain range and has beautiful visuals and sound design. You need to think outside of the box to progress with tasks, there is also a great written narrative to the game. The tool implementation and mechanics are like no other that I have experienced in VR. A great place to relax and enjoy the views and sounds while being totally immersed in the puzzle solving. This a truly unique experience to VR & I look forward to progressing further into the story. I live streamed the game and the developers were in the chat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfHO2dTLPL8
Zt. Teleport only. 👀Wo ein Wille ist, ist auch ein Holz!🎊 Meine Kurator Seite. 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
Follow Third group
English: In Land of Towers by 2 Devi LLC, we are a humble watchtower keeper. Land of Towers is a super chilled crafting game. We find ourselves somewhere in the Caucasus of the Middle Ages and go about our daily work as a simple watchtower keeper. We experience the adventures of daily madness. We have to build many objects in order to progress in the story, which is narrated by an easy-to-understand English voice-over. However, we can also find all the instructions in the inventory in localization, so that we can always check what we actually have to do. Thanks to the good physical implementation of the tools and objects, it is very easy to get distracted and build a chair instead of a ladder. Crafting works perfectly and is easy to do. In contrast to reality, we can freeze objects in position to support particularly wobbly constructions before assembling them. We are all alone in the beautiful Caucasian mountains. In addition to shaky wooden constructions, we also forge the tools we need ourselves. Unfortunately, the only way of moving at the moment is also rather unrealistic, especially in the Middle Ages. But it's also the oldest type of movement in VR, so it's fitting. Unfortunately, we can only move by teleportation and snapturn. Of course, this suits VR newcomers, but a choice of free movement is possible. Once the story has been completed, although I had only played for an hour by the time of the review, a sandbox mode becomes available in which we can freely develop our architecture in a medieval manner. I haven't tested this yet. The graphics are nice to look at, I am happy to be able to play in a realistic environment, which still needs a lot of work and not in a colorful polygon quark. The sounds are mostly good, even if they are sometimes too loud. Especially the river noise (?) that swells up again and again is a bit confusing. The developers say that Land of Towers is more than just a game, but a special VR art form. Of course, art is always in the eye of the beholder, I think they're laying it on a bit thick, Land of Towers is certainly a particularly chilled, comfortable crafting game in a beautiful, realistic environment and computer games are and can be art, but somehow Land of Towers lacks intellectual depth. I can recommend Land of Towers to anyone who likes to chill out under their HMD and build things in front of Caucasian mountains. Despite the old-fashioned locomotion - currently teleport only. 👀Where there's a will, there's wood!🎊 My curator page. 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
Follow Third group
If you like solving puzzles and building things out of salvaged materials this game will provide you with hours of entertainment! 10/10 would recommend!
When I first heard about a slow-paced, atmospheric crafting game, I was immediately intrigued. The promise of no-rush, peaceful crafting gameplay with a creative carpentry system sounded like exactly the kind of experience I would love. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this game in its current state. The main issue lies in the lack of attention to detail and quality-of-life features. The physics are unpredictable, with objects wiggling and jumping around for no apparent reason. One of the first mechanics the game teaches you is to grab objects from a distance. However, the items retain collision physics even as they’re summoned toward you at high speed, often resulting in chaos. Objects not nailed down go flying everywhere—sometimes even off the map. This makes it impossible to create neat little stockpiles, forcing you to stash everything in your inventory. As a result, the map feels empty and devoid of the satisfaction of organizing and tidying your space. For example, when I started the “Watch” scenario, I dismantled a crate and tried to store the nails in a container. But every time I attempted to grab something with my hand, the game struggled to register what I was trying to pick up. Using the distant grab feature was more precise, but every time I grabbed a plank or a nail, other items would fly across the room. After painstakingly gathering everything into a small bucket, I placed it on a shelf—only to have it launch itself across the map. I spent a while putting everything back into the container on the table, but even then, trying to grab a single nail caused multiple items to scatter again. How is this supposed to be fun or meditative? The carpentry mechanics also suffer. When you freeze two objects to nail them together, as soon as you nail one piece, it unfreezes and falls. This leaves the second piece frozen but misaligned, making the freeze feature almost useless unless you’re nailing a single item. Larger objects, like the tutorial ladder, are nearly impossible to move with precision and tend to knock over everything around them, as they glitch and wiggle unpredictably. The visuals aren’t particularly impressive either. Textures are either overly simplistic or noisy and confusing. For example, good luck finding a nail that’s gone flying outdoors against the ground texture. The ambient lighting is basic, and the game’s performance is subpar given the simplicity of its graphics. The UI design also leaves much to be desired: there’s no dedicated “play” menu—just two modes crammed into the main menu. The in-game inventory menu doesn’t rotate to face you, meaning you often end up staring at its back. The inventory itself only displays one item at a time, requiring you to scroll through it with large arrows. A grid or list view would be a huge improvement. There’s also a lack of logic in the gameplay. For example, you can eat food during the first task, but eating serves no actual purpose, nor is there a way to produce food. Many of the mechanics feel like disconnected ideas that don’t align with the game’s intended relaxing experience. I adore the concept the game is trying to deliver, but I’m deeply frustrated by its execution. I understand this might be the work of a small team (or even a solo developer), but the game has been out for nearly a year. By now, simple fixes like disabling object collisions during distant grabs, allowing players to place items directly into containers, or keeping objects frozen until intentionally unfrozen should have been implemented. I won’t ask for a refund because I purchased the game at a discount, but I feel misled by the number of positive reviews, which seem to ignore the numerous issues I encountered. To me, this feels less like a polished product and more like an amateur project still in need of some work.
Just finished first scenario with WMR Reverb g2. Great experience! <3 The game itself is the kind of unique experience only a made for VR project can provide, in which you physically learn and use carpentry and blacksmithing to access and prepare a gate tower to reestablish communication in light of a possible invasion. The experience can be a bit janky at times, but I think after a short while with the game the uniqueness of the design shines through. There were no crashes or game breaking bugs throughout my entire playthrough. Controllers worked out of the box with Reverb g2. An experimental FSR2 option is provided which was fantastic for perfomance, looked great and worked flawlessly. Smooth turning and gliding also worked flawlessly. Congrats on making such a beautiful and unique game. <3
Land of Towers is a paid VR adventure game that released in 2023. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. The visuals, ambiance, and physics are good. Movement is teleportation and snap turning. Has guidance on what to do. Has detailed crafting system. Maybe buy this game, if you are into adventure games. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. ViVE VR curator group
Land of Tower is one of the best crafting games I've ever seen. The way you can build items is very unique and I don't remember seeing another game where you could create complex items from practically nothing, by putting together various scraps found here and there. I've tried to build tables, stairs, chairs, windows, doors, entire buildings with working doors and windows, and all without having to resort to automation tools for certain actions. For example, if you want to build a working door, there isn't a way to make it work automatically but you have to create the frame, the whole door and even the hinges to make it open and close. You can reach raised areas simply by building a ladder that wasn't there before. You put the wooden beams together, drive the nails in the right places and you have created the tool to achieve your goal. I reward the developer's work for having finally created something truly innovative, never seen in any game so far. However there are many things to fix and implement: 1. Add fluid motion. So far it is only possible to move via teleportation, or by moving around the play area provided you have plenty of room to move. add the ability to climb rocks and ladders. 2. inventory is bad. all the instruments are placed behind the shoulders gathered in a wooden panel that opens by bringing the hand behind. the diary, missions and game options are also shown in this panel. We need to insert a more immediate inventory system. Tools such as hammers and axes should be placed in a tool belt, while collected items could be placed in a backpack over the shoulders divided into "pockets", a bit like that of the walking dead. Long axes could be placed in side pockets of the backpack. The missions and options could be entered in a journal placed somewhere on the body. In short, the inventory as it is now is really bad. 3. increase the building possibilities, add more objects to build such as stone blocks of different sizes, bricks, hinges for doors and windows, make it possible to create wooden planks and beams by working the cut trees, or make it possible to create bricks by collecting mud, clay and firing them in the furnace, which at the moment is only for creating the ax in the watchman mode. 4. add weapons and a mode to face enemies. 5. add the weight of the objects. I have built entire houses in free mode that if not anchored to the ground, can be lifted entirely with one hand and without any resistance. at the moment these are the most important tips to make this game really special, make it more enjoyable by giving more goals to push the player to do more things. Thanks for this game PS, dear developer, I offer myself for an Italian translation of the texts.
