the game is beautiful but its got stiff learning curve. The game doesn't lead you by the hand it gives instructions that you'll need to read not just skip over or you're boned. That being said i love this game the atmosphere and textures are top notch and the controls are a bit tough but once you get the hang of them it feels natural. only things I'd like to see are hab construction and a tutorial.
Really good. Great new twist to survival games.......and its in SPACE.....on MARS, you could say; literally. This game is built using NASA images of Mars itself. If I am honest it is a bit difficult to figure out how to do things due to only a basic tutorial but I do see a lot of potentual and can't wait for Story Mode to be released!
Alright, people. This game is literally the most tedious thing I have ever done in my life. I just see very little appeal in such a game where it takes SO FRIGGIN' LONG to get from point A to point B. It's literally just too boring. But since it's early access, I will give the benefit of the doubt and hope that it will get better in future updates.
Amazing! Even in early access, this will be an instant classic that all will enjoy, I know I am!
I'm really enjoying this game. I like the whole walking around on limited oxygen looking for supplies and other locations. This really forces you to actually plan trips out and not take your resources for granted. The systems and the maintenance required to keep things running is very well thought out. And yes, not for everyone. If your looking for action and things to kill you won't find that here. If you want a survival experience based on realistic science then yes your trying to survive on Mars and remember there's no oxygen on Mars, the atmosphere is primarily CO2.
Please refer to the youtube link for my review. Hello Im Skill Incarnate and Welcome to My Games Review Series. My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review. In This Episode i am doing a review of the Early Access Game Lacuna Passage Lacuna Passage is an Early Access Survival/Crafting Game by Random Seed Games. You play the Role of a female Astronaut whom has been trapped on the Red Planet due to unforseen Circumstances. It is your task to Explore the Martian Landscape Collecting Resources and using raw materials and equipment found in order to survive and thrive on a harsh, dangerous and sometimes beautiful planet. Despite some bugs and UI issues Lacuna Passage has some of the most original and interesting building and crafting ive seen in any survival game. The setting of mars is brought to life with some rough but interesting visuals. This is a first impressions video based on the current build of the game at the time of review. Standard Disclaimer: Game was provided for review purposes. Please do not send any hate to the developer. Review is my opinion. ================================================ Lacuna Passage First Impressions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CquctrtsE2A Skill Incarnates Gaming Channel https://www.youtube.com/c/SkillIncarnate Twitter: https://twitter.com/skillincarnate Lacuna Passage On Steam. http://store.steampowered.com/app/252090/Lacuna_Passage/ ================================================ You wake in an landing pod, check your equipment, and venture out onto the red Martian soil in search of a nearby habitat. With 25 square miles of the Red Planet to explore and survive, you must gather resources from randomized points-of-interest, supply caches, and other habitats in order to continue your mission. But survival is more than just tracking status bars. Maintaining your life-support equipment is just as important as maintaining your health. Lacuna Passage’s Survival Sandbox will allow you to test drive the core game mechanics in Steam Early Access ahead of the upcoming Story Mode. Explore a massive terrain generated from actual Mars satellite imagery. With features generated from scans collected by the HiRISE project and details painstakingly designed to reflect the photography captured by planetary rovers, this is as close as you can get to visiting the true Red Planet. Survive the harsh Martian environment with mechanics based on real health metrics like blood glucose levels, heart rate, caloric intake, and more. You will feel like a true interplanetary pioneer as you conquer the elements. Capture the beauty of Mars with an in-game photography mechanic that allows you to document your discoveries. Photos are saved to your computer at full 1920x1080 resolution and can be referenced in-game where you can set objective points to navigate back to where the photos were taken. Interact with the various astronaut technologies through your dependable datapad. You will need to manage inventories, salvage and craft supplies, and repair vital life support systems in order to survive the desolate landscapes of Mars.
Атмосферная игра про одиночество и хардкорное выживание на марсе. Однозначно рекомендую к ознакомлению. Дополняю спустя 2 года, и ставлю отрицательную оценку Обновлений и новостей не было с 2020 ИГРА МЕРТВА
I like exploring Mars with Lacuna Passage. If you play this game your astronaut will die of something. That in mind please look for water where ever you can find it. Also keep in mind that for the most part you can only eat when you do not have you space suit on. Which pretty much means you have to be in Habitat (Alpha, Beta, or Gamma). Salvadge everything you can as you do not know in advance what you may need on an EVA (Exta Vehicular Activity) <Walk-About on Mars>.
It's not worth your money. It was released 4 years ago an it's still on early access, i don't think they will ever release a full version of the game. It's a shame because it has a lot of potential, but I assume the devs are now on some beach, enjoying all the money they could get from kickstarter and steam.
