The game stays true to the classic dark chess experience I remember. There’s definitely room for some UX enhancements, but it's still very much enjoyable whether playing online, against another player, or against the AI. I haven’t encountered any issues with the lobby or online play glitches. The point-and-click mechanics for moving pieces work fine, but a drag-and-drop option would be a nice addition. The guidance and cheat sheet are helpful, though it might take a bit of familiarity to understand them fully. Overall, I’m excited to see how this game develops, especially if it includes some fun animations or fight scenes for critical moves or game-ending moments.
After playing a game I found this to be a TRICKY puzzler to say the least. It's a board game but it is also a puzzle! Well constructed and quite fun with the piece flip overs at the beginning to add to the surprise of what was laid before the game started! You have no idea what pieces are where until you flip them over which truly adds to the puzzle feature. I played the AI and it can sure go after you! If you're not careful the AI can get the right pieces and immediately come after you without flipping another piece over. Clever, very clever. I recommend this game if you're into puzzles for sure with a flair for a board game. I have to be honest; I thought this game would be a flop for me but it's VERY FUN! Now if only I could get some music and sound! That would make it more fun for sure. BIG PLUS: I am currently running this game in Manjaro Linux! Runs fast and quick!
