About
You are a commander tasked with defending Medieval Europe against a fearsome Alien Invasion, which historians agree definitely happened. Gesture vigorously to your elite, knight forces to command them into battle. You are the only commander brave enough to save the world by dragging tiny armies between towers with the urgency of someone who has just spilled coffee on a battle plan. Fail, and Earth may experience a brief administrative change in ownership.

CONTROL your troops with potentially VIGOROUS gestures
DEFEND EARTH as one of five ANGRY European nations
NOT HAPPY with FIVE? Unlock USA, the secret TIME TRAVELING nation
KICK ALIEN BOOTY on THIRTY maps and THREE difficulty modes
OUTMANEUVER dynamic AI that notices when you are doing too well and becomes PROFESSIONALLY UPSET.
MIND CONTROL one EVIL Alien nation and CONQUER earth yourself
REACT FEARLESSLY to fog of war, darkness, and sunset battles, three conditions famously solved by PANIC.
LEVEL UP YOUR MIND with EXTREME historical accuracy (historical accuracy not included)
EMBRACE the KNIGHT CODE: KILL ANYTHING GREEN!
Also: BEARS.

DON'T LET THE WORLD GET EATEN
Knights vs Aliens is a free classic re-release of a small strategy game originally shipped to iPad in 2009 under Prophetic Sky. This version has been rebuilt in Godot for Steam, desktop, and web, then returned to public life because it is still weird and still fun.
This intense historical experience may cause your FINGER to BREAK OFF and/or MELT. You may want to consult your NEXT OF KIN before use.
KvA was designed to work with items found in your home. We don't actually know where you live, but I assume your computer will play it - if your computer can't compete with a 2009 era iPad, you should probably upgrade.

When we were kids, me and my cousin used to take turns playing this game on his iPod Touch 15 years ago. I remember many years ago I thought to myself, "What ever happened to that weird strategy game called Knights vs. Bears and its cousin Knights vs. Aliens?" So I decided to Google it to see what came up. I found nothing except esoteric forums of other people asking my same question. Just about 2 weeks ago I was about to post on the r/LostMedia subreddit looking for some evidence that this game ever existed. I couldn't believe that the first result was a Steam page for a PC revival of the game. I don't have much time on release night to play it much, but this seems to be a very good port / "remaster". The Steam Achievements are a pleasant surprise. I must compliment Prophetic Sky/Eastbridge Games for this unexpected (and FREE!) port. Clearly someone still has a passion for this game. The only issue I can think of that I have experienced so far (although this may be a personal preference and may not be fixed or changed in the future) is that the game itself is not available in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The tutorial, victory and defeat text splashes all render in 16:9 but the actual interactable space in game is just 4:3. I would very much like to see that changed or to have the borders of the map and main menu extended so that there are no black bars. Other than that I have nothing negative to say. Well done to whoever made this happen.
i like it
It was an amazing game and I found myself playing and beating the main campagin very quickly. I will say that there is a little bit of confusion in what the cheats do, but otherwise it was a great game. 4.9 starts.
Super fun game found myself invested in the campaign mode. I would love it if it had a online setting So that I could really introduce my friends to it. Little bit of confusion with the dragging but once I had it down it was super fun, a great first game coming from Eastbridge Games . Lots of fun and a great game when you want to have a challenging and sometimes brutal strategy game. 9.9/10
Very cool fast paced RTS. You can definitely tell it was originally a mobile game by its simplicity and movement mechanics, but it's fun and challenging.
