Ok so as a JRPG fanatic I feel inclined to always leave reviews for them. So I purchased the bundle for 28 dollars it included I think 7 of Joshua Keith's RPG's a couple were in sale individually but I went ahead and grabbed the bundle. The game above all I was excited for was Knight Eternal because I am obsessed with pixel/8-bit graphics and as soon as I seen a turn based pixel graphics JRPG I was pumped. Now for the game. The soundtrack is amazing to start I was impressed with a 2 dollar game having a more classic esque soundtrack really well done there. The starting plot of the game wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. I am not far enough in to know what's going to happen but I believe Dylan and his father are bad or up to no good which I dislike. I hope I am wrong but I don't like betrayal plots or characters especially main characters that betrayal their "friends". The chick falling directly on the ship is a huge stretch but it's not necessarily that bad. The way the plot comes together is ok, I wish it was a little more compressed there are some wild stretches of the game that I am like ehhhh. For 2 dollars it's absolutely a must buy let me say that. As for the map and world design it is weird but it's ok. A complete game that is playable and little to no bugs that kill the game. The soundtrack and battle system is awesome which is a plus. Overall I say buy it and play it at least once however I honestly don't know if I will ever replay it.
The End of Timeline 1?!

Story
The game has two main plot threads, with the first being the tension between Zamaste and Halonia and the second being Astraea's lost memories. However, both leave some loose ends, since the queen's
curse isn't adequately explained until Knight Bewitched 2 and Astraea's connection to Abbie has yet to be clarified
. I'm hoping there will be a continuation of Timeline 1 someday, since while Timeline 2 is good, I still want to see how Timeline 1 leads to it. Personally, I feel like the queen's
death at the end of the game would have hit harder if we had more interactions with her. By the time the party reaches her in the endgame, she's already on death's door without us really affecting the outcome. It really didn't reach the previous game's high note of confronting Zamas and getting Abbie back against all odds
. IMO, the game should have spent more time fleshing out Zamaste, since it would be interesting to see how much the kingdom was affected by their worship of an antagonistic deity. It seems strange that in the ending,
they reconciled so easily with Halonia. Additionally, Adalia Primrose didn't seem that bothered by the revelations about Zamas in the Depths
.
Gameplay
The game is mechanically similar to the previous one, but there are some improvements, such as the wider resolution. This makes it easier to fit all of the party's buffs on the UI, though the UI still doesn't show enemy buffs and debuffs. For equipment, characters still have a lot of freedom to equip whatever they want, but equipment types are more restricted to give the characters a bit more individuality. Though I still ended up putting the Ragnarok on Dylan because most of the other magic-based equipment was mediocre. However, I personally wish there was no distinction between spell and tech slots, since I felt like having more spell slots was better in the early stages of the game. There's now a skill tree, where you can spend SP to unlock nodes containing stat boosts and passives. In practice, most players will concentrate on a character's best stat first to maximize their strengths before going for the next most useful stat. There's also the emblem system, where characters have to complete certain events and choose between two emblems, which unlocks different branches in their skill tree that leads to some character exclusive skills, which means they have a bit more individuality than in the previous game.
Verdict
TBH, the story feels even more underdeveloped than Celestial Hearts, but I did appreciate the improvements to the combat system and UI, though I wish there were more character exclusive nodes on the skill trees. 6.5/10
a nice short rpgmaker that is a good time and reminds of old times its nice
It was fine? A very soft recommend but I didn't regret playing it. It's just your basic RPG. The talent tree is neat and without that hook I definitely wouldn't have finished the game. The writing was meh with some especially cringe-worthy moments. Combat system is fine with a good amount of actions but it was all pretty easy even on hard.
This is a lovely hidden gem of a turn based RPG with excellent art and and fun gameplay.
It's okay. There is few of crash happen when using some skill. The story overall is okay. Gameplay is good just like the other nostalgic retro game. Music is awesome, love it.
Very fast paced and fun JRPG. Movement throughout the overworld is quick with good spacing of random encounters, making the exploration (although somewhat limited) very bearable. Even on hard, the game is not too difficult and grinding does not feel like a chore, since random encounters can often be completed in under 20 seconds. Although relatively short, it does offer lots of customization and strategy.
Great RPG for money. Story is a pinch weak but very well worth playing.
There's stuff to like in this game but it has bugs and that turned me off. Got stuck in an endless loop battle because sleep never wears off and the one enemy left never attacked to wake my team up.
This was a very fun light-hearted JRPG! A nice world to explore and great old school graphics.
