Chucking coins to build your defenses is a super chill loop right until night falls and the panic sets in. It’s a beautifully minimalist, highly addictive strategy game that will easily eat up your whole evening.
It's a small but interesting game

GOOD
Kingdom is the only game that manages to turn absolute monarchy into a daily public humiliation. You aren’t a ruler; you are just a four-legged fanny pack. Your subjects possess the collective IQ of a boiled potato. Your archers couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat, and your builders have such an active death wish that they choose to clear trees in the pitch-black woods exactly when the monster portal opens. And who is the terrifying ancient evil threatening your empire? Dragons? Demons? No. It’s a gang of naked purple toddlers who don't even want to kill you—they just want to jump you, steal your loose change, and snatch your hat (the crown). It’s literally a street-mugging simulator wrapped in gorgeous pixel art and comforting lo-fi music to disguise the trauma. The tagline 'Nothing Lasts' is painfully accurate. Especially your patience with your asthmatic horse, which starts hyperventilating and walking in slow motion during the literal apocalypse just because it jogged for five seconds. Verdict: 10/10. An excellent investment if you enjoy paying money to get bullied and robbed by AI.
