Galactic war has ended in the complete annihilation of both sides. Orphans, old folks and animals hitch rides on ghost ships, bound for nowhere. Last night, you and a convoy of strangers boarded a scuttled Dominion warship. Home is far away.

Мужики, спасайте, если наберём 10 лайков и 5 наград, то жена подарит ящик пива
Kilcount is filled with weird, charming characters in an interesting setting. The game consists mostly in one fetch quest after another, but it doesn't feel like a chore at any moment thanks to its remarkable script; simple but fun, original and well-put together. Overall, one lovely experience. I recommend Kilcount 100%, this little gem deserves way more appreciation! **Tip: Shift => Run
RPG Maker strikes again! Kilcount is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Notably, the "developer" couldn't work out how to use RPG Maker to make a JRPG (the only thing it can do, and it's terrible at it). Instead, we have a godawfully bad e-book/adventure game where you plod through a godawfully written sci-fi fanfiction. Notably, the developer opted not to run an asset flip, and created their own assets. Asset flipping, using other people's assets like RPG Maker assets or Unity store assets is never really okay, those assets are meant to educate and act as placeholders and should never be used as a substitute for doing the job of a game developer. However, getting back to the point, if the assets you create on your own are worse than this, then this is even less acceptable. That's the case here... the game assets are some of the laziest I've seen. Immediate fail. If you should take this seriously (check the SteamDB player counts below, nobody did), the story centers around a group of individuals who have boarded a derelict spaceship after a galactic war. Gameplay involves conversation and exploration with the various passengers, leading to different outcomes. You have no way to progress beyond the main narrative, and will see absolutely no secrets in the game. Expect to complete the game in just one or two hours, a rather short play time. I doubt anybody could be bothered. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. It's also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who paid money for this... nobody got refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

This game is just a series of "get me this item" quests, which you do without complaining (much) because heck, you're stuck in this spaceship with a bunch of crazy, lazy-ass creatures. It gets tiring to walk around so many times to fulfill all the tasks, but it's a cute game still. Thank you for making this game free. I really enjoyed the randomness of it.
Так себе.
The style of the game and the characters are all so adorable I fell in love with it the second I started playing 10/10 would recommend if you like story based games
It's like an episode of Sam & Max, in the sense that you find an item and you walk around, exchanging it into another item, then exchanging that to another, and so on. You read some quirky dialogue every time. Nothing too special. Kind of entertaining.
Some of the most charming and delightful humorous writing I've ever encountered in a game.
