Keystones is a casual puzzle game about matching blocks based on their color. The target in every level is to set all the movable blocks on top of the fixed ones, by matching their color. When bicolored blocks enter the equation, things complicate a bit because you will need to find the right arrangement of blocks, given that the top block and the bottom block need to have at least one common color. The levels range from trivial (introductory levels that show / teach the game mechanics) to average and in the end towards challenging. There is always a logical approach to solving one level instead of brute-forcing all the possible combinations, but the last 5-7 levels are still a bit demanding, even with this logical approach. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1692606846 I enjoyed playing Keystones, and especially figuring out the mechanics of the end-game levels. Two fixed blocks can have a link between them, which means that the movable blocks that come on top have to match the link color in the half that is oriented towards it. In some cases, this link disappears if a block matches its color from one side (there are arrows to indicate this) after which the color of the source block is transferred to the target block. In other cases the connection needs to be kept throughout the whole level. Due to a bug after release, these indicators were not displayed properly and figuring out which one is which was a bit cumbersome. However, the developers were extremely quick to fix it and after replaying the game I can clearly say that there all the levels can be solved after some thinking, with little to almost no trial and error. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1705349240 You'll only need a mouse in order to play Keystones (the blocks can be dragged and dropped) but the game also offers keyboard support as an alternative to that. Also, you can customize the colors of the blocks by mix and matching from various preset colors. Needless to say, by using the available guide, all 30 levels can be completed in 20 minutes, but if you want to go through the game by yourself then it will probably take you a couple of hours. Still, it’s a good value for the modest price that the game costs. I do hope though that more levels are added in the future. Simple and fun puzzle game. Later levels are quite hard to get it perfect. But really cool.
