full playthrough here: https://youtu.be/YrGsbF7juXo Edit: Creator is really receptive to feedback and has already finished fixing the ending and the prologue is a blast the characters play differently and it feels rewarding as you get to test upgrades. definitely will most likely be checking out the full release later old: This is a pretty dope survivor game it is a bit hard without having obstacles on the map to use as a point of reference while things are flying at your face, but it's rewarding as you get stronger and figure out the game. I'm not sure how the console moves work or if they're just working automatically it seems like an interesting concept though. I'm not sure if the ending in the game works either I'm pretty sure I beat it and the game just went into a black screen with a gray line like a broken old cartridge game when you tried to boot it up.
"Keyboard Warrior: Dreamstate Prologue" Keyboard Warrior: Dreamstate Prologue is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Keyboard Warrior". Keyboard Warrior is a lame SpaceWar! ripoff slapped together with Godot's garbage 2D engine (don't get me wrong, the Godot 3D engine is ok, but amateur devs don't know how to use it and professional devs use better tools, but the 2D engine has never made a successful game). The quality of that game is woeful and it was an objective failure.. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Keyboard Warrior, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Keyboard Warrior: Dreamstate Prologue" too. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

This game seriously needs markers for when stuff like chests drop- The game is so zoomed in and there's no clear 'boss' enemies that they're incredibly easy to miss. I'm not even sure if I ever even found one, or if they exist at all. Sometimes the eyes descend and then you choose some upgrades, but otherwise I have no idea what the progression in-run is.
Before I played Keyboard Warrior: Dreamstate Prologue, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
