As a labor historian I am well-versed in Marxist philosophy, and was pretty excited to play this. I’d hoped it gave a goofy-but-honest explanation of what Marx wrote about in the 19th century. I haven’t spent much time in the game, but from what I have seen, it doesn’t honestly portray Marx, or Marxism, leading me to think the makers don’t know anything about Marx, Marxism, or they are just making authoritarian propaganda with this game, which is dissapointing I don’t know if it changes later, but I am so far turned off by the bias, and untrue things in the game that misrepresent Marxism and Marx to a wider audience, thus perpetuating misunderstandings and mischaracterizations of an ideology that altered the course of world history and a man who changed the way people view industry and capitalism, the current system. The thing is, you don’t have to agree with something to know what it is, and most people don’t, so this game is a missed opportunity to educate people, and instead it’s just alt-right propaganda and nonsense. If Marx actually viewed things the way this game portrayed, no one would have cared what he had to say. There’s a reason so many people in history and even today like what he wrote about, or at least respect him as an important historian, economist, and sociologist for his observations on capitalism. The gameplay is very retro. I grew up playing games like these, so it’s a fun sort of nostalgic experience for me, but again, I haven’t gotten far in the game yet. The game could have been very good. I wish it wasn’t dishonest right wing propaganda. There’s too much of that already, and it’s sad. The makers should have been more honest and less biased in making a video game.
Made by a lib :( I wishlisted the game long ago hoping for some good ol' commie propaganda and then it starts talking about holding on to other peoples money and ♥♥♥♥ :(
Mario copy with the political literacy of an american highschooler. Soundtrack is decent though.
100% made by a lib. Works on SD, it's alright I guess. Could've been something really good.
