KAPITAL PUNISHMENT 22XX

Beat the tutorial for this game and I'm so excited for the entirety of the game to be released. The games simple nature is matched with a brutal, yet fair, gameplay. It will take you seconds to get hooked, but hours to perfect.

Great game that reminds me of the classic LJN NES games of the past. More particularly, "Wolverine" on the nintendo. Nice challenging game-play with a decent difficulty curve that progressives as you move up. Since the Arcade mode was the only one available, that was the biggest challenge attempting to move up and survive. Arcade mode should be renamed, "Survivor mode" since that is what you are doing attempting to survive the hordes of waves of enemies being thrown your way. Only real complaint is that the controls can sometimes be unresponsive at times, but that could just be with the character needing some additional speed update. Overall, for nostalgic gamers, I'd give this game a try.

This is a solid platformer with a unique aesthetic from its anti-capitalist theme. I'm particularly fond of the mechanic where killing enemies with melee gives ammo while kill enemies with range gives health, its really well balanced, especially in the brawler sections.

need more games with this vision and these kinds of politics tbh

Game is fun. Definitely better to play with a controller. Killing capitalists, what's better than that?

a fresh as hell beat 'em up action/platformer, with really sick combat, kickass music, terrific pixel art, a wicked sense of humor, and a radically left bend. there are some moments where I disagree with the design and feel it can be a bit tedious (namely that one platforming section with the lasers and wall turrets, which is not difficult, it's just boring), but overall, this is something that I can easily recommend, and I look forward to diving back in with subsequent updates to see how things mature throughout its continued early access. disclosure: I bought this day one, and a lil while ago, I received an email from the dev offering to provide a review code for it (which I hooked them up with one of my friends who streams with her girlfriend and has been super amped to check it out since I mentioned it to them, as I obviously did not need an additional copy). but we were already both planning on covering this game (I've been looking forward to doing so extensively, myself), so that doesn't change too much. the devs are cool as hell though, from my interactions. for more thoughtful recommendations of the best games on Steam, check out my curator, [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38563966-The-Absolute-Finest/]The Absolute Finest[/url].
