Kaiten

While Kaiten has the bones of a great game, it is currently held back by significant bugs and a lack of clear progression. The core combat is decent, featuring a quick to learn tutorial while the class cards offer a satisfying level of strategic depth. However, the experience becomes stagnant after the initial battle; despite winning thrice, I encountered a total lack of unlocks for cards, maps, or bosses, and the UI provides no guidance on how to move forward. It feels like a hidden gem that is unfortunately stuck in place.

Ok. The game appears to be abandoned. It also appears to be unfinished as you cannot advance past the first Boss. Which is quite sad as this is a game I absolutely love. And it is certainly worth more than the $2.99 price for just the way it is. I played it for 9 hours. Was hoping for updates to solve the a advancing problem. What I cannot understand is why it seems only a few people have played this. The game mechanics are unique and quite strategic. It is an absolute blast to play. This could be one of my favorite games if only I could advance. It is still a lot of fun to play however. I was hoping someone would come up with a solution to why the game does not allow you to progress. It is absolutely worth the small amount of money! Really!
