I bought this game on release day. It intrigued me because it has kaijus in it, plus the fact that you grow bigger and evolve, even changing appearance is really cool. The game was kinda difficult at first, especially with the Blob. You needed to survive with the Blob for 10 minutes to unlock the next kaiju. The Blob seemed really slow so I spent the upgrade points on movement speed until I could get a lucky run. I think It's a good survivors game for what it is. Again I like the idea of kaijus in a survivors-like. Being able to evolve and grow/change appearance and destroy buildings as a kaiju is what makes it stand out from other survivors-like. In other survivors games you break crates and barrels to get loot, and sometimes I either miss those barrels or I ignore them completely because I feel like I don't need the health or power-up in that barrel... But in this game it makes sense for the crates to be buildings. You play as a freakin' kaiju so how could you NOT destroy any buildings!! I realize the new update lowers enemy speed. I was able to unlock all the characters before that update so I feel pretty good about completing a Blob run before the enemies speed got nerfed!
The difficulty of this is HELL
Fairly basic reverse bullet hell game with some bugs like the regen ability just stops working after the first area including stopping the perminant passive regen from working (works fine if you don't pick that ability during a run) and possibly the blod heal as well and also one time I just didn't get the upgrade points I had earned after a successful run.
