A truly unique RPG that stands out from everyone else with wild characters, great art direction, fun soundtrack and a sense of humor. Worth buying for any RPG fan. P.S. I hope a sequel is made in the future.
The early game is a bit slow, but there's a ton of appeal and charm to the game and characters, and there's a pretty solid amount of content to justify the price. Robox is best character btw.
Super heroes battling with super villains have wrecked havoc on the world, so to prevent further damage, the Kaiju Big Battel was formed to keep the combat in a...controlled environment. But when the super villain summons a monster capable of distorting time, the super heroes must hunt him down through time and space. I tend to prefer pure fantasy, but this game has held my attention very well. There are some neat features, and I'm sure there are more as I am only a few hours into the game. I especially like the growing HQ and multiple "secret" locations which require certain characters to explore. It has great humor which adds to the game rather than distracts, . I've been working with the O.H.R.RPG.C.E. for over 20 years, though I've never come close to finishing a game due to time restrictions, talent limitations, and scope creep. It's great to see a commercial release using the engine, and I'm glad to see James Paige is involved.
This game deserves SO much more attention
Amazing! What a weird JRPG-type of game.
loved it
A time-traveling/wrestling RPG with more humor, imagination and—at very specific times—insightful commentary than just about anything else I've played in the genre. Clever writing, amazing scenarios, and instantly lovable characters. Give it a try, please: it is easily one of my all time favorite RPGs. It's based off of an actual wrestling promotion of the same name, which means you might be a little disoriented by its presentation at first, but its fairly easy to get into without any knowledge. KBB:FF wisely focuses more on its own story than trying to just be a tie-in, and it works very well. The battle system is engaging, built within an inch of its own life in a 1997 DOS battle system called OHRRPGCE. I have some minor disagreements with one or two side quests in terms of how the information is presented, but overall the "gaming" non-narrative parts are fantastic, and there's more than a few bosses that'll really make you think about how to approach them. I've only beaten the game on normal difficulty, but I loved it enough to consider a revisit. I genuinely believe Robox's story/mechanics could have been something entirely on its own. His section is transcendent and I hope the developer revisits the tone and ideas he conjured up here in the future.
