CONSIDERAÇÕES INCIAIS: Just Ignore Them: Brea's Story Tape 1 é um spin-off e um prequel de Just Ignore Them. Esse jogo vai tratar de um assassinato que ocorreu em Ash Pines, uma pequena cidade que esconde segredos perturbadores. Jason, ex-namorado de Brea, conseguiu esse caso para ela, já que na cidade onde moram, o trabalho de Brea como repórter é nulo. LORE <- 7,5/10 Eu gosto de um bom mistério, mas também gosto de um bom suspense, o que esse deixou a desejar. No primeiro jogo eu sentia aquela coisa de "o que tá acontecendo?" e nesse eu também senti;
né motel do primeiro jogo?
VANTAGENS:

Boa trama
Lorebuild bem trabalhada
Múltiplos finais
Fácil de platinar
DESVANTAGENS:

Ambientação fraca
Casal nosense
Descontinuado (acredito eu)
PORQUE O JASON RONCA TANTO?!?!?!?!

NOTA FINAL: 7,0/10
Achei a história muito intrigante! Espero que lancem a continuação logo!
Just Ignore Them: Brea’s Story Tape 1, developed by Stranga Games and published by GrabTheGames, is a haunting, narrative-driven prequel that offers a deeper dive into the eerie mythology first introduced in Just Ignore Them. While the original game followed a young boy plagued by monsters, Brea’s Story shifts the focus to an ambitious journalist, Brea Tena, who stumbles into the twisted town of Ash Pines in search of her next big story. What she uncovers is not just a series of secrets, but a slow descent into the unsettling mystery that connects the game’s grim universe. Designed as the first in a multi-part series, this “tape” acts as both a standalone short story and the beginning of something far more ominous. The game thrives on atmosphere, using a minimalist pixel art style to evoke a feeling of isolation and dread. From the moment Brea arrives in the bleak town of Ash Pines, there's a lingering sense that something is deeply wrong beneath the surface. The quiet streets, abandoned buildings, and sparse population all contribute to a tone that leans heavily into psychological horror rather than jump scares or gore. The visual style, while simple, is effectively used—small touches like flickering lights, looming shadows, and deliberately empty spaces build tension without relying on overt horror tropes. Sound design is similarly understated, with moments of silence or ambient noise doing more to unsettle the player than any loud stingers or dramatic cues. Gameplay is structured around exploration and narrative choice rather than action or puzzles. As Brea, the player investigates environments, interacts with townspeople, and uncovers fragments of backstory through documents and dialogue. Decisions have consequences, often influencing not just the direction of the narrative, but how much insight the player receives into Brea’s past and her emotional state. Unlike many horror-themed adventures, there’s no combat to speak of—your tools are curiosity and observation, making the experience feel more intimate and grounded. This slower, more deliberate pacing may not appeal to everyone, especially those expecting more traditional point-and-click puzzles or direct threats. However, for players who enjoy unraveling a layered narrative at their own speed, this approach adds to the immersion. What really sets Brea’s Story Tape 1 apart is its writing. The game doesn't try to shock with constant scares; instead, it tells a story of a woman on the edge, trying to find meaning in a world that refuses to offer clear answers. The narrative unfolds subtly, through conversations and environmental clues, creating a sense of unease that builds gradually. The people Brea encounters are cryptic, often hinting at larger events or forces at work without revealing too much. This leaves the player to piece things together, and while some threads remain deliberately vague by the end, it effectively captures the feeling of being a stranger in a place filled with buried trauma. The emotional weight of the story is also carried through Brea herself, who is a far more complex and vulnerable character than she initially appears. However, it’s important to recognize that this is very much a “Part One.” The game is relatively short and ends on a note that feels more like a chapter break than a full conclusion. For some, this may be frustrating—particularly if they go in expecting a full narrative arc. The story raises many questions and answers only a few, clearly saving some of its major reveals for future installments. While this episodic structure allows the developers to build a more expansive story over time, it does limit the standalone impact of this particular entry. A few players may also find the pacing uneven, especially in sections where progress slows to accommodate more exposition or introspective moments. Despite its brevity and some pacing concerns, Just Ignore Them: Brea’s Story Tape 1 succeeds in delivering a thoughtful and unsettling experience that expands the world of the original game while carving out its own identity. It offers a different perspective on the series' mythos through the eyes of a curious outsider, and it does so with mature storytelling, eerie environments, and a lingering sense of dread that persists long after the final scene. For fans of narrative horror and slow-burn psychological storytelling, it’s a compelling first chapter that promises much more to come. While it may not satisfy players looking for traditional gameplay loops or fast-moving horror, those drawn to mood, mystery, and meaningful character exploration will likely find this tape worth pressing play on.
Just ignore them
Cool Prequel
I enjoyed this game so much. I would play a whole story about this topic. I'm aware this is some sort of spin-off or alternate explanation to the original 'Just Ignore Them', but I didn't play it. I loved the ambience, the way Brea and her boyfriend try to hold on with their lifes, it feels like a cool slice of life. I also laugh so much with all the 'costume' thing. Short, good, funny and memorable. I'll be checking this developer's games!! ^^
