Sorry, it's just nonsensical Christian mythology done poorly. Not sure what all those reviewers above saw in this, but it's a good pass. Unless you're a bible thumper.

The servant is not greater than his Lord!” A Templar Knight of noble deed was summoned by his holy creed, to fight for Christ and plant His seed, for those who pierced His heart to bleed. The splendid Savior’s name would rise, as rightful King in pagan eyes. Oh that would be his greatest prize, for that one man should gladly die! His stallion white was armored well, the gallant night would vanquish hell. To conquer where his foes did dwell, he swore their pride would soon be felled. His Lord the victor of the world, the unbelievers would be hurled. So help him if he fought alone, to capture rightly Land and Home, for on that Knight God’s Light had shown. That valiant knight soon from his quest, his tired bones then sought some rest. He knew his sleep would thus be blessed, for safe was he in battle dressed. With sword in sheath, and shield aside he laid to rest his Christian pride. Beneath an Olive tree he knelt, and in God’s name he freed his cry: “My Lord I simply can not go by weariness and fear, I think it best to close my eyes until my strength is here.” Now madness settled rather fast, imbuing him with dream. Upon a city oe’r the hills, the Lord shown down His Beam. The knight could see from distance great, in darkness oe’r the land, A brilliant cross that burnished bright, and holding it a hand. How small it was beneath the stars that lit the cobalt skies. He strained to focus on its shape, and it vanished from his eyes. With that our brave knight shook his head, and nodded from his dream. He splashed upon his sweating brow, some water from a stream. Inspired evermore was he to crush the infidel, who cursed the precious Land of Christ with foreign tongue and spell. He reached the mighty City gate, and galloped in with storm. The unbelievers froze in place, by his swiftly iron form. “I’ve come here in the name of Christ, to save His sacred Land!”, and from his breast plate pulled a cross that glistened in his hand. Then by his solo fighting band, he swung his sword in efforts grand. But the flashing blade was soon oppressed, and our valiant Knight in chain mail dressed met his Sainthood by his actions blessed. For he died with arrows in his chest. No cry of anguish fled his lips, nor gasp of rasping breath. For the cross of Christ that won his life, had saved him from true Death. Through the cross a Templar is saved At the foot of the cross our sins and problems laid The cross brings the Templar to life Although the truth of the cross cuts like a knife To the Templar, the cross means “sacrifice” But believing in its message opens up Paradise On the Cross, Christ paid for our sin those that believe in Christ, we will win Templars far and wide, hear my words Listen to what I proscribe: Put your hope in the power of the cross And count all else in life but dross And let Christ’s love in your life cross all the barriers that have kept you lost The morn’ begins Before grey dawn With prayers And songs a singin’ What comes this day My Lord, my King What fate will Thee be bringin’ Will I kneel in homage Bow in prayer Then march and ride the wind To board, to worship, then to rest To serve til my life’s end Then comes the day when battle calls Where evil bars the way And as we charge we all will sing Non nobis Domine If at the end I stand or fall It matters not to me As Templar, I Know that my soul Forever next to thee. One of the best games I`ve ever played

As a firm believer in Christ that is on the lookout for great Christian games, there was no hesitation in buying a game called John Christian. In fact, I was enthralled that it was a trilogy, so I could not resist buying the whole series. You play as a young man who finds the armor of God, as he becomes armored by the Holy Ghost, having the shield of Faith and the sword of the Spirit. Its then up to John to rescue people that are in prison of their own sin, which means you go through the different Hell dimensions of lust, pride, gluttony, envy, wrath, etc. You fight many demons, devils and other evil spirits. You come across Bible verses, which increase your Faith and your Faith is basically your health bar. And this is all what makes the game an engaging experience. Although I do have a few problems with the game that I wish could be improved. The jumping mechanics with John are kinda out of place. Sometimes you'll do a single jump and sometimes you'll do a triple jump. The combat with both and the enemies I feel like is quite stiff. I wish there could be dodging, flipping, spinning, other different combat moves that he could do. I also notice that some of the enemies move like a robot and then just stop. There were times where I also tried to go to the next level or realm, but I couldn't. So this made me had to restart the game. I wish there was Voiceover. If John could talk, a voice from The Lord and maybe even some of the spirits. If your'e working on John Christian 4, let me know if you need Voiceover. Seriously! I am a Voice Actor. This game changed me as a person. I will never commit another sin. Thank you so much for showing me the light. The stripper skeletons were pretty awesome though...

so, i played and beat this game, i like the concept i like what they want to do in this game. but, there is a lot of jank, the controls are very tank like, enemies can stun lock you, but you can do the same to them. this game needs a guide in the game, like something to tell me where to go. the controls need a lot of work, the graphics im fine with, but if someone or shoot even the dev re did the game in another engine, that would be awesome. this game would be a great game it it got more work on it. would i recommend it, no, but also yes, because this game needs a lot of work. there are spots where the game chugs and i dont know why because i have a decent pc. so it needs a lot of work. dev if you come back to this, work on it, needs way more time in the oven. ui needs work, the words get in the way, the screen feels to close, the health bar and the super need something else, like some modern games, hold down the button and it auto heals, something like that. but anyway enough ranting, ill post a vid of it too, was recording footage of the game. had this for a while and decided to play it.

To say that this game's jumping mechanic is inconsistent is certainly contender for understatement of the year. I can't recommend this game, to anyone. Within the first 10 mins you're presented with a series of jumping puzzles that will make you question your faith. Sometimes John doesn't jump when you press the jump button. Sometimes John doesn't jump high enough to clear a ledge. Sometimes John jumps high enough. Sometimes John jumps too high. Sometimes John jumps too far. It's an inconsistent mess with no rhyme or reason and I really don't have the patience for a puzzle based on a mechanic that behaves differently every time you press its associated button. This is just poor craftsmanship. And to demand money for it is pure hubris.
