seemed a bit trickier than other Jewel Match Solitaire games and the inclusion of quests would have been a nice change of pace if there was actually any incentive for doing them (like achievements)

Its so relaxing , it puts me to sleep. LOL

Lovely presentation, terrible grind. Could be easily a very good solitaire title, but the later levels are just frustrating to play.

Nein, nein, nein... Konnte ich den alten Spielen dieser Serie durchaus noch etwas abgewinnen, entwickelt sich hier etwas völlig in die falsche Richtung. Die Art und Weise wie die Power Ups nun funktionieren gefällt mit gar nicht mehr. Diese füllen sich nun nach Nutzung erst langsam wieder auf, und das auch noch levelübergreifend, so dass man, nutzt man diese am Ende eines Levels, den nächsten Level mit leeren Power Ups starten muß. Dadurch spielt man viele Level für einen perfekten Durchgang noch öfter als in den alten Titeln (und da war man an einigen Leveln schon sehr oft dran). Viele Level sind nun eine echte Qual. Besonders einige der Supersize Level geben viel zu wenige Karten für den Riesenberg den es abzubauen gilt. Hier gilt nun das Prinzip Versuch und Irrtum in zahllosen Wiederholungen... bis dann zufällig die Karten mal so liegen, daß man den Level überhaupt schaffen kann. Einige Level habe ich sogar nur durch den Zukauf von dutzenden von Wildcards und Jokern schaffen können, und das heißt dann erst einmal Gold grinden bis zum Erbrechen um sich diese Extrakarten leisten zu können. So kann man die Spielzeit auch künstlich verlängern... bis der Spieler keine Lust mehr hat und der Serie den Rücken kehrt.

Nice and relaxing solitaire variant with lots of mini-games and alternate solitaire games. Definitely recommend!

What I appreciate about the Summertime edition of Jewel Solitaire: This is the 4th game of the series I have played and it has a number of very thoughtful improvements since the series began. The path and bonus levels are very tightly tuned now to unlock in a fun way for those of us who like to 3-star everything along the way. The extra large bonus levels are the most fun bonus iterations so far. The Ma(tc)h Jongg levels now have clear depth indications, which was much needed in the previous games. The shop is more tightly tuned so that unlocks make sense in the progression of the game. Coin rewards for completing bonus levels make a lot of sense in this iteration. The powerups have been retuned so that they do not simply mean '4 free cards at the end of each level' now but must be used between levels in a way that makes sense, since they operate on a recharge mechanic. The art is still great, and the structures you build in the scenes is still one of the most fun aspects. Since this is the first of the games I'm not playing in timed mode, I am not sure if that has been fixed; I played this game on casual mode because in previous games I got annoyed that the counter continued to progress during powerup usages, which did not seem fair (If you used the wand to remove a card you would invariably lose a few seconds of time in previous games). The bonus level objectives are a very nice addition and I find them very fun. Thanks for making these games! They are perfect for when I want to listen to audiobooks.
