The important thing to know about Jettomero is that it sucks. No, not the game, the robot. It's a bumbling atmospherically tall infant that's gullible enough to be talked into anything, with a hero complex the size of its hotdog-like torso. It is quite possibly the dumbest video game protagonist ever. And that's really the point of the game- you're not cool, or hypercompetent, or powerful- you're invulnerable, but making actual progress is still a pain, and the only way to fight enemies is QTE eye laser beam struggles. And the story (delivered through 'secret decoder ring'-style puzzles that became more fun over time) seemingly only exists to wear Jettomero down as it learns about its own past. But eventually you learn (through one of the two selectable endings) that persevering in the face of your own failures really is the right thing to do. It's not some sort of cool beatemup or something, much more of a walking simulator, but it can leave an impact on you if you're the right kind of person. The amazing pulp-comic visuals, lofi hiphop chiptune soundtrack, the raygun gothic style of all the entities and structures, the contrast between clumsily stumbling around on a planet and moving with effortless grace in zero-G, all creates a meditative and nostalgic experience that can really touch you if you've ever felt inadequate. If you're the kind of person who really needs a certain content-to-price ratio, it does have two endings and a postgame free-roam to collect any extras you missed, but you'll definitely see everything there is to see in a couple hours. I don't know if I would have picked this up at the full asking price either, but it's definitely worth your time if you can ever get your hands on it.

yet another game with potential ruined by ♥♥♥♥♥♥ console controls. the game is meant to played with a controller, if you don't have a controller your ♥♥♥♥ out of luck with this game, as the default keyboard + mouse scheme is retarded beyond belief and there's no way to rebind the keys. it's a shame because the presentation, music and possibly gameplay has potential, but alas the gaem is infuriating to play with these ♥♥♥♥ controls - so it's a refund for me.
I enjoyed the game for what it is, but I have to stress that there isn't much here to do. The basic concept is fun, luckily they end the game around the time it finishes running its course, which is around 90 minutes. It feels like a concept game, or a polished itch.io game. I wouldn't recommend spending much on it, but I think it's worth spending a little time on.
The visuals are really nice and so is the music. Gameplay is repetative but the atmosphere makes up for it. The story is on the cute side. This game might be better suited for younger players. It's very short if you don't go achievement hunting. I don't think it's worth the full price but worth a look on a sale if you're looking for a chill game. There are also numerous filters within the game that you can switch up if that's your thing.
Jettomero was truly a beautiful work of art. To be fair: This game isn't much of a game. It's a very art based sandbox and that is all. The main thing of it all was the exploration. Explore the universe. Find every collectible. Visit all of the planets. Complete the story. That story is pretty much a collectible too. It's really not for everybody. That is a fact. That's why some players simply disliked it. Everything about this game is exploration. I honestly love every second of it, though. The experience was short, but it was nice. Jettomero was quite simply a piece of art. It all feels like playing inside of a painting. Such a beautiful game. I really enjoyed it. I just have to give a huge positive review.
Fun but short. Its fun to explore but there isn't much gameplay.
Would love this game, when it was possible to remap the keys. The standard keybinding is very dumb and after going in "option" there was no way to go back to standard screen except Alt+F4. Its very sad, such a nice game, such a ♥♥♥♥ UI. To make things clear here, the UI is mine not the programmers. Buyed it for 3€, so will keep it. Hoep the dev rewrites the UI-part. Else the game is a very intressting game. Would like to play it : with mouse and keyboard. Till then: stay away.
Jettomero is a quick, simple game that lives from its atmosphere. The gameplay is incredibly repetitive but with its short runtime it avoids overstaying its welcome too long. Finishing the game without seeing everything took me 90 minutes, so consider that if you are price sensitive. There is nothing else out there like it, so if you need a calm palate cleanser after a hectic action game, this might be for you.
