Janus VR was a VR Web Browser program. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. This program can be used without VR headset. R.I.P. JanusVR Changed to JanusXR. For more info: https://store.steampowered.com/newshub/app/602090/view/1720874488117902422
Hopefully as the team continues to work on it, it will improve quite a bit. Optimization and performance should be their main focus. It will lag, glitch with teleportation, have huge performance drops with multiple portals open, and crashes frequently, among other, less frequent bugs. the controls are intuitive, but not robust enough for some of the options. Some ideas are a little frustrating, I do have to say though, discovering some of the pieces in here feels really important. It feels like the first few waves of second life and smaller internet communities, where there were a vast community of creators making small pockets of interesting art, utilities, and experiments. The limitations of the software enhanced their pieces and it strikes a weird nostalgia for me to view something resembling old relics, but realized in virtual reality. Fully-explorable. I have to say that at least in concept, and the few smooth runs I've had in it, this has to be my favorite piece of VR software. The teleportation mechanic is a great idea, and it feels wonderful when it works. Being able to grab models from within the environments to use as avatars is also a wonderful creature comfort for this sort of semi-social platform. If the first thing they do is fix some stability and performance issues, the next thing I'd say is to build a little bit more of a dynamic control scheme, and make these transitions smoother. I'm no programmer so I can't imagine it'd be easy, but I would pay quite a bit for a smoother, more robust version of this. Despite the overall negatives, I have to recommend this, especially as it's free. If you like exploring a diverse range of virtual environments, especially second life, earlier internet-like environments, I think it's worth combatting the myriad issues that plague it.

All it does is crash, occassionally i get the youtube room to work but thats it.
Its the matrix. As a web dev, this is a glimps into the future of the internet. Its also crazy easy to share 3d models with anyone.
vrchat but ahead of its time, so it failed sadly
Oprócz tego że ciągle "Crashuje", to gra wydaje się być fajna. Ta gra ma przyszłość! Moja ocena: 8/10
