FIRST PLAYTHROUGH
At last, I finally had the chance to play episode 2! It was very enjoyable and if you've played the previous episode, you will know what to do here. Click birds, complete puzzles and don't forget to pick up the soda cans! One of my favourite features are the cutscenes and voices. They are very well done and true to their characters. Simple, yet beautiful. If you're new to the Jacob Jones games, I'd like to mention that it is kid friendly! The puzzles may feel more difficult, but the content is 100% safe.
GAMEPLAY
ːGreenCubeː All-ages content ːGreenCubeː Great voice actors ːGreenCubeː Cutscenes are appropriate to content; not too long either, just perfect! ːGreenCubeː Character interaction needed in order to progress story ːLightRedCubeː Most puzzles are really easy to solve; for a 28 yr old anyways XD ːLightRedCubeː The game is very short... ːLightRedCubeː The slide motion to turn around is sometimes frustrating because I slide too fast and just keep walking into the next area, into the next, into the next... until I get used to the sliding motion. I wonder if this feature would work better on a touch screen (?) During the tutorial, they teach you to use Q and E to move the camera. However Q and E seem to do nothing once you have left the bus from the first scene.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I was enthralled by the game and so focused to collect every bird and soda can that when I hit the end of episode 2, I was quite surprised! "No... this can't be... My birds, I need the birds! Oh wait; I already have all the birds! LOL" I look forward to episode 3 (◕‿◕✿) Cute papercrafts btw. I've already shared the link with a friend who has a child ♥ (Papercrafts is a link found in the pause menu on the right inside of the screen. It'll open the browser to a webpage where you can print templates of the characters. Cut them out and glue to make 3D paper models.)
Amazing game made by an amazing team. Looking forward to Episode 3.
An excellent follow up to Jacob Jones 1. It's a bit shorter, but I liked the story. Puzzles I thought were very good and graphics are excellent for this type of game.
Shorter than the first one by about half, it felt like. Still fun. Some different puzzles, more logic, and more of what made the first one fun, just not as much of it. Hope that part 3 comes out fairly speedily.
Juste une chose à dire : à quand l'épisode 3 ?
Here I will leave the cat, friends who pass by can pet it and give it a thumbs up(and points if you're feeling generous) /> フ | _ _ l /` ミ_xノ / | / ヽ ノ │ | | | / ̄| | | | | ( ̄ヽ__ヽ_)__) \二つ
Been some time since i played this but from what i remember i really enjoyed it. It's short and sadly wasn't finished but good for what it is. Nice characters, voice acting and the puzzles are pretty good.
give us part 3 of the story
i really enjoyed episode 2. it's more atmospheric and a good bit darker, which i love. controls are still a bit clunky at times so getting all achievements might be tough.... but you can play the whole game without issues. i really want to know how the story continues but sadly lucid games seem to have abandoned it and also didnt respond to a support inquiry regarding the development of a sequel. at least a public statement would have been nice... but playing it till then is very enjoyable so if you liked episode 1, go ahead!
This game was fun. it was cool. and i liked it.
