A lot of the achievements aren't popping, Enemy AI is Eh at times, at times it's viscous and they're all over you. The Thank you for playing screen pops up like 3 times after defeating Midas. For a student project in early access, it's playable, Hoping to see good things from it.
I want to put this as a so-so early access game. I like the mechanics and combat, the art style is also interesting. The voice acting isn't too bad as well. The story is indeed intriguing in some ways, but I can't recommend the game at its current state. While playing, I came across a bug/glitch that had me falling through the floor and to my death. The area I'm describing concerns multiple trap doors that you have to quickly navigate through to the other side, destroy said wooden barrier and then go through it. However, for some reason, the character somehow clipped through the floor and upon moving back, fall to her death. It's the same with every playthrough on that level. Another issue that I've a problem is the loading screen between areas. Please allow players to skip the dialogue, especially when you've "Loading Completed". If it is, let me at least skip it by long pressing a button? The lore, while interesting and intriguing the first time, gets boring on multiple playthroughs. Lastly, keybindings/remapping please? I do enjoy the game. I really do. But the bugs mentioned in other comments also needs to be fixed before I can recommend it. For now, if you want to have a go at it, be my guest. Just be aware of the bugs. I'll probably come back to this game again once there's an update of some sorts.

INVICTA: The Next Queen is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from ESAT in Spain. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This is an incomplete attempt to make a top down "RPG-lite" action brawler, except the students didn't finish the project they were assigned. But ESAT published it anyway. What kind of school is ESAT to do that to students? "Hey, hire this game dev student, look, he can't even finish the work he was assigned". Ouch. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 6 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 7 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
