Manage the hero's backpack while they fight in this game with a clever concept and great execution. There is only one mode, with no story or campaign. You simply select one of the four preset characters, which include a balanced knight, a strong orc warrior, an agile elf archer, and a wise wizard. The difference is in four major attributes, so an orc has a lot of strength but not much intelligence, and vice versa for the wizard. The other choice is a starting skill. There’s only one available, but you unlock more as you progress through the game. Your mission is to assist the hero in surviving and providing him with the best equipment possible. This is accomplished by transferring stuff from the bag to the hero's slots, which represent armor, weapons, rings, and a few more slots that you will recognize if you have ever played a role-playing game. You do not have to worry about the hero fighting the opponent or collecting loot because it will happen automatically. One critique is that there is no speed-up option. Sometimes you will just sit there and watch as your hero and the enemy slowly exchange hits. After a few normal enemies, you will have to face a boss. In addition to possessing more health, a boss has another trick up its sleeve. For example, it can knock a hero's item back into the inventory or cast a fog over items, making it difficult to see what you have. You don’t get anything for dying, so each run is exactly the same. A variety of factors contribute to the difficulty. The first is the backpack, which is really small and can quickly fill up after a couple of armors. Different items require a different amount of slots and have varying stats and special abilities such as stun and mana steal. This is most commonly encountered on legendary goods that are easily distinguished by a different color. Items that are unnecessary or undesirable can be dropped. However, you must have at least one spare weapon. The reason for this is that every item has a durability bar. Armor and other things are not as important and lose durability slowly, but if a weapon breaks and you do not have anything to fight with, your hero will be unable to attack. You might also save pricey items and sell them at the shop that appears when you defeat a boss. While selling stuff in the shop earns you money, dropping objects during the journey does not. The shop sells considerably superior stuff, but it is also incredibly pricey. The other drawback is that the hero has a weight limit. If the gear exceeds that limit, you will be unable to equip it. This can be fixed by wearing lighter gear, dropping some items, or upgrading the hero's strength with shards. By the way, shards can boost any of the four stats. The final, and most critical step, is to keep the hero alive with potions. Because the hero will not consume potions directly from the backpack, you must store them in his potions slot. You start with only one slot, but you can expand to four using belts. A potion can be either health or mana, and it can be improved by combining two identical potions. It’s always a good idea to buy a few from the shop because you might be unlucky and don’t find any from defeated enemies.
Okay, damit könnte man leben.
J'aime bien
Same result every time. The elephant in the room with this game is that you hear a scream and all the backpack items are covered with blocks. WHY? This is a pretty good game, but the developer doesn't understand the elephant in the room. The game was very easy to understood the first time I played it. Combine items, always have your hero armed, and the more strength you have the more weight you can carry. Wear a belt to carry your health and mana potions, yada, yada, yada. There are other games in this genre, and I actually believe this game is better, but it's obvious there wasn't any play testing involved. This game has so much potential, but the developer has to address the elephant in the room. Still, pretty addictive as I put in 8 hours, and the price is fair. So much potential wasted. INVENTORY QUEST HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL! I see the developer is constantly updating, so possibly one day, he/she will address the elephant in the room.
