The game is pretty good. I think it's fun if you like track-based rhythm games like you would for guitar hero/rock band, etc. I hope to see some mods or something where we can have additional songs and track sheets for the game since the songs are kinda all over the place but there's some good ones. One gripe I do have with the game is if you start to do poorly the game will slow the track down which makes it tougher to catch up and adjust. Here's the track list since this doesn't seem to be published anywhere: - Adalam Va! - Priya Ragu - Ain't It Fun - Paramore - Attention - Charlie Puth - Black Hole - Griff - Bluffin' - Wiz Khalifa ft. Berner - Boom Clap - Charli XCX - Boy's a Liar - PinkPantheress - Ciao Adios - Anne-Marie - Classical (Intro) - Gucci Mane - Come on Over - Royal Blood - Cupid (Twin Ver.) - FIFTY FIFTY - Earthquake - Dropgun - Esta Noche - Greeicy Rendón and Mike Bahía - Glad You Exist - Dan + Shay - Her Way - PARTYNEXTDOOR - Holding Out for a Hero - Adam Lambert - Hot In It - Tiësto ft. Charli XCX - I'll be Around - The Spinners - In My Head - Mike Shinoda, Kailee Morgue - Legion - Blasterjaxx - Let Me Down Slowly - Alec Benjamin - Lost - Linkin Park - Monster - LUM!X, Gabry Ponte - Not Over Yet - KSI ft. Tom Grennan - Notorious - Duran Duran - Payback - Kojey Radical ft. Knucks - Shine a Light - Paolo Nutini - Space Man - Sam Ryder - Talamanca - BURNS - Tears - BEKA - The Best - Tina Turner - Wall of Glass - Liam Gallagher 8 Hidden Songs (Unlockable Thru Story Mode): - 41 Days - Merk & Kremont - AVA - Garmiani - Biturbo - Bausa & Zuna - Broken Love - Quarantino - Down with the Sickness - Disturbed - Lighter - Nathan Dawe ft. KSI - New Wave - Sam Gellaitry - Oye Mi Amor - Maná
I'm conflicted. It's the same gameplay I know and love, but so much fewer of the songs are ones I like as it contains a variety of tracks. The campaign map is good at getting me to listen to the other songs, but still. I think the best way of putting it is that Avicii Invector is incredible, while Invector Rhythm Galaxy is merely good. [strike]This is still a positive review[/strike], but I really wish it had more Avicii-style songs. This would turn into a glowing review if it had Workshop support, or a ton more music, or even just a straight import of Avicii Invector's tracklist. Edit: On second thought, it's not just that I don't particularly like the music. It's that the music doesn't fit. There is nothing particularly nebulaic or arctic about gangsta rap or a Mexican serenade. There was non-Avicii music added to the original, but it still fit with the theme. Additionally the story is best compared to a mouthful of sand despite there being so much more of it, and most of the maps are reused from the original. If you're just now happening upon the series, your money is better spent on the original.
If you liked Avicii Invector, you're still gonna like this game a lot. I wasn't the biggest fan of Avicii's music but was in love with the gameplay and you get more of that here with a huge variety of songs. Everything from tunes in the 80s to songs released in 2023. Gameplay is still amazing as ever! I encountered one issue where during the tutorial the game froze and forced me to alt +f4 it on me, reloaded the game, skipped that part and it has ran flawlessly ever after. My other suggestion is add more rock songs, I can't believe how good the gameplay goes with some good riff's!
Writing this review after only playing about 10 songs or so, because: So far this looks like the rhythm game I've been looking for for years. I grew up with Guitar Hero, and I've been looking for something to scratch that itch for ages, but good "notes coming towards you on a track" rhythm games seem few and far between. There's Stepmania but most of the songs there are just too difficult for me. I usually end up with games that are either so easy it's boring, or so hard I fail songs 5-10 seconds in. This game, on normal difficulty, I finally have something where I can complete most songs first try but with some missed notes, and outright fail some songs on the first try. I'll try to remember to update my review once I complete the game or at least play a lot more, but my first impression is: Finally, I'm home. (For some context, in Guitar Hero I would usually play on Hard and could play Expert on some tracks with practice, in Osu! I am usually somewhere just below 5 star difficulty, sometimes going above)
They took the formula of Avicii Invector and polished it. However, the music in this game varies greatly, and because of that, a lot of the songs will rarely be played by me and my friend because they're neither of our styles of music.
As a rhythm game enthusiast, I really hate that I cannot disable the changing speed in the options. The notes are very easy to follow when at maximum speed (non-boost) but as soon as you miss a note the screen becomes extremely cluttered on the higher difficulties at slower speed.
This one is a bit strange. After finishing the campaign I think I have some things to say.

The Bad

Visually cluttered: This game does have some nice graphics but that often leads to visual clutter, making songs, especially on max difficulty harder. In games like Osu! or Beatsaber you have the option to reduce the visual clutter so you can focus on the harder songs. The triangle is one of the worst offenders. But if you play on normal or below this likely will not be an issue for you.
Changing speed: The speed of your ship (and visual distancing of notes) in this game is tied to your score multiplayer (not counting boost) - that is highly annoying. Constant speed would be way better and mistake recovery would be faster.
The Road: Sometimes the road curves in such a way it's impossible to see three notes ahead, relying more on the memory of the level (which I dislike greatly) - making it hard or almost impossible to finish some songs just based on the flow.
Crashes: The game tends to crash somewhat often. Hopefully will be addressed with future updates. But it makes completing songs in the tedious campaign rather frustrating. But hey the devs seem to care and reply to bug report threads so that's nice.
The Campaign: It's... okay. The story is nothing to write home about but I guess it's nice they included at least something. What I hate about the campaign is that it's sort of mandatory if you wanna unlock all of the songs and / or ship skins. It sucks when you get a string of songs you hate. The campaign was easily the most boring part of the game.
Song List: Most of the songs are okay. A few are good or better. Too many of them are not to my liking. But that's a highly subjective thing so you might not be as bothered by that. Plus they might release more songs as time goes on so maybe it will get better.
Missing Practise Mode: Missing a mode where you can play the song slowed down so you can practice it.

The Good

Local Multiplayer: That is an amazing feature to have. Connect a few extra controllers and just play it with friends you invited over. This is a huge plus in my book.
Gameplay: The core gameplay is pretty good. If they would add settings to get rid of visual clutter.
Age: This game is still new. I still remain hopeful about it's future. I am sure many things will be fixed as time goes on.

I might have been a bit harsh on this game. Perhaps because I like it. Despite its flaws, it is a decent game. Frustrating at times with all of it's little annoyances but I think I will keep playing it. I am sure I am going to enjoy the game more now that the campaign is behind me. And if they will fix the biggest gripe I have with this game - the visual clutter - I will make a new review that will be more positive for sure.
最垃圾的音游 htg不去给avicii invector开创意工坊 做这nt东西 判定方式很奇葩 歌也少
This is a really neat looking and fun game, but it feels like it's missing something. I'm also not really enjoying how the story is playing out, which shouldn't even matter in a rhythm game, but it's the only way to unlock the other songs. While the track list is varied, the songs lack a specific feel or overall theme that goes with the gameplay, which makes me feel like I'll only really enjoy replaying maybe a third of the track list. Also, the lack of an online leaderboard is really shocking. It's not like the game is bad, it just feels like it's a bit too all over the place and missing some key features I'd want from a rhythm game of this style in 2023. As far as the story, it feels like they're trying to match the songs they have to what's going on in the conversations, but I don't know any of these characters and there's no buildup, it just starts with you already on a journey. It introduces characters and establishes that they know each other, but the player doesn't really know any of it. With the gameplay itself, the various styles in each track are pretty cool, but sometimes the UI makes it hard to figure out what you're supposed to be looking for, and I wish there was a sound, or a louder sound to help you time your button presses. When you build up a chain, you can hear the successful hit sound effect more clearly, but it gets lost when your boost meter drops down. It's still thrilling to nail an entire sequence and activate that boost though. There's a lot I think is neat about this game, but it just doesn't feel like all of the elements mesh well and it can be hard to read on higher difficulties specifically in the part where you are rotating around the playfield. I'd love to see what changes happen to the game after a few patches, but for now, it's a pass from me. If someone was to ask me a number, I'd probably give this a 6/10, which is above average but not quite where it's an easy recommendation, even for a rhythm game fan.
