Intrepid is a science-fiction puzzle adventure developed and published by Miskatonic Studio that places players aboard a doomed spacecraft where survival depends not on combat or reflexes, but on intelligence and observation. Beginning with the player awakening from cryogenic sleep, the story quickly establishes a sense of mystery. The ship is in crisis, the crew is nowhere to be found, and critical systems are failing. With limited information and little time to waste, players must explore the vessel, uncover what happened, and find a way to escape before disaster becomes inevitable. What immediately stands out about Intrepid is its commitment to the escape-room concept. The game is structured around exploration and problem-solving, encouraging players to inspect every corner of the environment in search of clues. Locked doors, encrypted systems, hidden objects, and scattered pieces of information form the backbone of progression. Rather than guiding players with excessive hints, the game allows them to piece together solutions on their own, creating moments of genuine satisfaction whenever a puzzle finally clicks into place. The spaceship itself functions as both the setting and the central puzzle. Every section of the vessel contains useful information that contributes to the overall mystery. Workstations, control panels, personal logs, and security systems gradually reveal the circumstances surrounding the catastrophe. This interconnected design makes exploration feel meaningful because nearly every discovery serves a purpose. Players are constantly rewarded for paying attention to environmental details that might initially appear insignificant. The atmosphere is one of the game's strongest qualities. The empty corridors and malfunctioning technology create a persistent sense of isolation. Even without relying heavily on horror elements, Intrepid manages to generate tension through uncertainty and loneliness. The absence of living crew members raises questions that linger throughout the adventure, while the deteriorating state of the ship serves as a constant reminder that the situation is becoming increasingly dangerous. This atmosphere helps transform what could have been a simple puzzle game into a more immersive science-fiction experience. Puzzle design is generally well thought out and emphasizes logic over randomness. Most challenges are integrated naturally into the environment and require players to connect clues found in different locations. Solving them often feels like performing the duties of a stranded crew member attempting to restore order aboard a failing vessel. The game avoids overcomplicating its mechanics, making the puzzles accessible while still requiring enough thought to remain engaging. Players who enjoy deciphering clues and unraveling mysteries will find plenty to appreciate. Narrative delivery is intentionally subtle. Instead of relying on lengthy conversations or elaborate cinematic sequences, the story unfolds through environmental storytelling and player discovery. As more information is uncovered, the broader picture gradually comes into focus. This approach encourages curiosity and gives players a stronger sense of involvement in the investigation. The mystery becomes a powerful motivator, driving exploration as players attempt to understand both the ship's fate and their own predicament. Visually, Intrepid adopts a clean and practical presentation that suits its independent development scale. The environments effectively communicate the sterile and isolated nature of deep-space travel, while the interface remains simple enough to avoid distracting from the puzzles. Although the graphics are not especially advanced, they successfully support the atmosphere and gameplay objectives. The focus remains firmly on exploration and deduction rather than visual spectacle. The pacing is deliberate and methodical. There are no major action sequences to interrupt the flow, allowing players to concentrate entirely on solving problems and uncovering information. This slower pace will appeal to fans of traditional adventure games and escape-room experiences, though players seeking constant excitement may find the progression more subdued. For its intended audience, however, the measured approach works well and helps maintain immersion. As a relatively compact experience, Intrepid does have some limitations. The adventure can be completed within a modest amount of time, and certain puzzles may prove frustrating if a key clue is overlooked. The game's small scope also means that players hoping for extensive world-building or multiple branching outcomes may be left wanting more. Nevertheless, the focused design ensures that the experience remains consistent and avoids unnecessary filler. Intrepid succeeds because it understands its strengths and builds around them. It delivers an engaging blend of science-fiction storytelling, environmental exploration, and escape-room puzzle solving without becoming overly complicated. The mystery is compelling, the atmosphere is effective, and the puzzle design provides a satisfying sense of accomplishment. For players who enjoy thoughtful adventures that reward observation and logical thinking, Intrepid offers a worthwhile journey through a stranded spacecraft filled with secrets waiting to be uncovered. its an ok escape game but its slow and theres weird input lag you can also finish the game in like 10 minutes. there inst alot of story either and it doesnt point you in a direction at all and the interactive objects dont stand out at all they're kind of just "there" over all a 4.5/10

This game has very complex puzzles with no little direction. The lighting is terrible and there was no brightness setting.
