The UI is just terrible. Small, obscure details like a small thin grey panel in a grey table or a small blue line in the top of a picture. Nothing indicates what you can or can't interact with other than your cursor changing slightly when you hover over it. This leads to the player randomly looking at every panel on their screen pressing the interact button hoping something happens. One of the items you pick up has text that you need to be able to read so you can choose options. The text was too low of a resolution and I wasn't able to read it. I have a 4k monitor with a 6950xt. There's no graphics options either to change or improve the resolution. Terrible game. This is why you should have people play test your game before publishing it.
This game did not meet any of my expectations. Far too short once you do solve its very few puzzles, however the lack of procedural thought behind the puzzles will most likely keep you locked down unable to progress unto frustration. There is no reason in my mind that I would recommend this game to anyone. 0 out of 10 truly a spectacular failure in my opinion.
Escape rooms should not be made hard by hiding everything you need to interact with behind several non visible buttons.
Game is awful. I love puzzle games, don't get me wrong, but this game is very poorly designed. Games like Portal which are meant to have challenging puzzles typically have elements of conveyance to help the player understand what buttons do what. They also piece together the different puzzle elements in a way that makes logical sense and teaches the player to do different things. This game just throws you in and makes the puzzles not really make a whole lot of sense and hides panels and buttons in a not at all visible way. If you want a puzzle game to be hard, you don't hide the buttons to open keyboards or drawers. Those are the things you shouldn't be making difficult. Instead, you should be challenging the player with the information they find in those spots. The spots should be conveyed to be important, but the clues within those spots should be difficult to understand their relevance or how they solve the puzzle. This game only feels as though its possible to solve if you run around the entire thing spamming mouse 1 hoping to open something or trigger something, OR if you watch someone solve a portion of it themselves and then just copy it. Once you've solved it once, you can always solve it again, but that defeats the purpose. Overall trash game. But hey! At least its free!
It is a free to play indie game. So lets talk about some of the good first. The graphics were fine, puzzle answers were ease enough to input (once you find them). But, it needs work on game play. There wasn't a good flow to clues. Or a way to tell what clues you need use or where at least to find them. The only one I was able to figure out on my own, was the for the security screen. Where I could see the color atop the yellow page I found. A piece of paper that was hard to find due to how far back it was on the cabinet. I didn't have any indication where to look for most of the clues. And the tablet was a nightmare. This is a point and click game. Needing to scroll or swipe is not a good way for it to work. If there had even been arrow to indicate there was more than 1 page, that would have at least given me the idea that I should try. I consider myself pretty good at escape rooms and escape games. This was awful because there basically no way for me to figure out how to figure this all out without looking online. It is free to play, so at least it's not a waste of money. And I do think that if there was a better flow it would be a better play. It needs clearer hints on where to find the clues. I could find all 4 locations that required input- but again, I couldn't figure out where to look for those hints.
