This was like reading a really good book, but more fun and interactive. I'm on my second turn because I'm trying out different choices and will probably do a third one after this. I definitely recommend this story, especially if you like space and fighting a broken system. And there's also a big scary bear that I can proudly say I survived.
A nice short read. At first I was a bit put off by how "generic" alot of things in the story were, as if the author couldnt quiet be bothered to actually Imagine names for places and things in their own story. This lack of 'ownership' for lack of a better phrase, does tend to fade away to actual names and places later on in the story (mostly real world places and such, but at least it helps ground the reader in where they are at and what they are doing) when the writer gets more into the story their telling. I've only completed my first play through, but from it I get the feeling that every character you come across, is a separate route in and of them self, which is really rare in these text CYOA games. And I whole heartedly approve! It means that there will be more replayabilty than usual as You explore each of the different characters, and how they help (or dont help) you complete the path you have chosen. Im going to give this a day or two to soak in (I took the cop route first and I really enjoyed him as a LI even though he is totally NOT what most of us would think of as an interesting person to pursue at first.) Then Im going to go back in and see how the other LIs effect the story line. Overall while I think a bit more color and flavor would have definetly been a plus, world building wise, the actual story remains interesting enough to read through at least a couple of times.
Excellent read! The story grabbed me from page 1.
Just enough text to fake it over the refund period. Contains a softlock where an unknown 6-digt-code must be entered about 20 times to further pad "content". Save your money.
The Story is interesting but the damn Code is frustating
The game is fun and it isn't too terribly long. It's a nice short "defeat the capitalism" simulator like the ones you probably have in your head at bed time because creative people like imagining heroic tales and, as gamers, we like being those heroic people. To that end the game doesn't try to over complicate itself by over researching anything and just sticks to 'the macguffin' and 'if you show interest in people, they will like you.' It's nice to have a short and fun story that isn't over complicated, especially as a break from the over complicated ones.
