Finally a "find a pair" Game on Steam worth the price. Inside the memories is a memory game with no gimmicks or adult content. Besides, it brings incremental mechanics and a whole new game design by mixing the experience of playing the classic memory with new mechanics and a touching narrative. The relaxing soundtrack fits perfect with the casual mode!

An unusual "find a pair" game. If you buy a memory game on Steam, you should know what to expect from it. However, Inside the Memories did surprise me. The proposal of such a game may seem simple and unpretentious, but this game is quite inventive. The devs added new and creative mechanics, and the story mode poses a challenge not usually seen in games of this type. Also, did I tell that the game has a story mode? Yes, a story mode in a memory game! And its narrative is beautiful and touching. Besides, the pixel art is lovely and really well crafted, and the music is wonderful. I highly recommend it.

This game is not very good. I bought it because I was like "yo I can practice my goddess awful memory with this, right?" Don't ask me about story, I haven't read any of it. It's that kind of memory game: flip two cards, try to match them. They add a little twist with these special cards: you have a special one that shows you a matching pair, one that shows some random cards, one that shows all cards for a second, one that shuffles all cards, one that gives you more time etc. It would be fine, if it worked properly, and if it wasn't so slow. Maybe I just play too fast, but the game is so slow, so jank. The hitbox to select anything is weird, that includes menus and the actual game. It really messes you up a lot. There's a lot of really slow moments during gameplay, all with the special cards. The worst thing you can do is select any of the special cards, they just slow down gameplay and barely add anything. Besides the god awful shuffle card and lose all pairs card. The "lose all pairs" is painful if you get it late during a level, but if it is early, it does nothing, because cards are placed in their first position back. If you had one pair and lose that, you know where they are. The shuffle card though, that's painful. We cannot remember much at a time, being humans, and the game add several different matching possibilities as you progress, which makes the shuffle card the worst thing that can ever happen. But these things would be fine, if not for the game being so slow and jank. I had several glitches happen, like match two cards but the game doesn't register it. If you do this, you can remove a card without matching it properly and it just vanishes from the board, making it impossible to finish the level. If you click on the screen too much, the game can just stop receiving inputs and you have to close it and re-open it to play again. I had a glitch, I don't know how it happened, that I was about to finish the last match of the stage, and it wasn't a matching pair. The game needs to me more responsive. If these issues get fixed, maybe this game becomes more playable. Right now I don't think it's worth it.

The Game has a casual mode and a story mode, being perfect for the whole family. Lovely art style, touching narrative and excellent soundtrack. For sure, one of the bests, if not the best, memory Game avaiable on Steam.

Inside the memories surprised me a lot. It may has a simple premise, being a "find a pair" game re imagination. But it ends being way more than that. With a touching background story, amazing soundtrack, and with new mechanics that makes the original experience funnier, Inside the Memories ends up being better than I expected. Worth it if you want a nostalgic feeling and a puzzle game to relax.

É um jogo fofo e cuidadoso, quis comprar por ser brasileiro (imagino); Não é longo, não é complicado, é barato, a história não é complexa mas serve para seu propósito, o que mais importa é que ele acompanha o seu progresso no jogo da memória, e o próprio jogo da memória que é o mais interessante, com cartas diferentes que deixam o jogo mais divertido. Não tive nenhum problema com o jogo, só nas fases finais em que às vezes não reconhecia a carta de proteção, uma única vez ele bugou e não desvirava mais as cartas. Mas nada de grave, consegui terminar o jogo tranquilamente, vou tentar pegar o resto das conquistas já q só falta 3 :) Eu recomendo jogar se você gosta de algo casual, sem estresse e com uma vibe tranquila junto com a música do jogo. Caso você termine o modo história, você ainda pode jogar o modo infinito, onde você joga sem nenhuma preocupação. Enfim, muito bom jogo!

In one word: GREAT! When I first thought about buying "Inside the Memories" I was just looking for a challenge to my brain in the free time within a game I used to love playing as a kid. But ever since I started playing it, I couldn't stop. The meaningfull and creative story told in Story Mode really gets you going and what I found most interesting: It is NOT an easy game, wich is exactly what I was looking for! I used to be very good at memory games, but I don't think "Inside the Memories" agrees with me. I am also a very competitive person, so I don't play the next level as long as I still can't win all 3 gems at the one I'm playing. And man, how many times I had to play the same level over and over again to get them. It is amazing! The machanics of the game to always change the layouts of the cards so you never know where they are and the extra cards that make the game even more difficult and compelling to play. Another great thing about this game is Casual mode. Whenever I don't have the time to play competitively on Story Mode or I just want to relax, I can always count on Casual just to pass the time. I highly recommend this buy, it was undoubtedly one of my best here at Steam.
