Reviews
One of the most phenomenal rougelikes ever made and as for what's under the surface, I shall not say but it's just as, if not more fantastic as what's on the surface
Essentially Pony Island’s unusual meta storytelling, with very addictive and abusable card game mechanics. I do feel it struggles in the third act to match the quality and pacing of the rest of the game, particularly the absolutely stellar first act, but it’s a very worthwhile experience. Highly recommend.

wow. what a game.
Great style, simple but solid gameplay with roguelike elements. I liked it quickly, but liked it more each time I picked it up.

This is a boring card game, even with a complicated backstory that I learned about on Internet.
I'm mixed on this game. I don't fully recommend it, but I wouldn't totally discount it. This is a game that can't decide what it wants to be. There are 3 acts, all rather different from each other, some minor escape room elements in Acts 1 and 3, and some random confusing, tedious live action segments that I don't see a need for. This reads as a passion/vanity project, and good on them for that if that's what they wanted. But you could totally break this down into 3 games or one base game with a few DLCs, and it would feel like it found a solid voice. Expand the map for Act 1 - the Leshy's cabin with nature themed deck and straightforward game play, and I'd play that game all day long. Act 2 runs like an old NES style game with no tutorial on how the new cards work. No tutorial to tell you that you can have a deck of more than 20 cards. None of the 4 regions are well developed - they're all rather short. It's almost a throw away Act for all the crash learning it calls upon you to do. It could be expanded and developed properly into its own game, and yea, I'd play that. Tacked between Acts 1 and 3? It's totally disjointed. Act 3 is more like Act 1 but it's all about robots and energy cells and money. It's okay. I don't care for the holo-style graphics, but I like the return of the Act 1 style game play.
