Infiltrate & Extract Positives: + Nice idea + Good stealth + Simple but fun + Some cool short levels + Replayability + The first person mode (the most entertaining one) + Acceptable graphics + Ok music + Brightness adjuster (press ESC while in-game) + Its free Negatives: - Some graphical shortcomings (best seen in first person mode with high brightness) - Constant repeating megaphone sounds in the last levels (gets a bit annoying to listen to) - No options menu at all - Cant disable head-bob in first person mode - Absolutely no intro, tutorial or help (you just start the game, not knowing the controls or what the goal is) - Hiding behind barrels will most likely get you revealed (makes little sense) - Sudden death mode is not that fun (if they find you, you must start all over from the very beginning) - No achievements - Some small bugs - Its quite short (one playthrough is about 45 minutes) A nice fun little stealth game. Its a free casual splinter cell clone, but its entertaining enough. The first person mode made it better, so its worth a second playtrough as well. So if you like silence and hiding in the shadows, you know what to do. Total Score: 7/10 PS If you want to tweak the graphics (remember first to show hidden files) : Go to: C:\Users(Username)\AppData\Local\InfiltrateAndExtract\ Saved\Config\Windows\Gameusersettings.ini Open it with notepad and change the values to your liking. Save the file and set it to read-only.

Infiltrate & Extract it's a very simple game, the gameplay is slow but immersive.
I really enjoyed this game a lot! Its a small little stealth that has some great puzzle design. I would highly recommend giving it a try!
Absolutely one of the best free Steam games I have ever played. There are no graphic options and you cannot remap the controls, but everything just works. I am playing in 4k resolution at a solid 60fps and never dropping a frame. The graphics are nice too. The missions are small, so I guess I can deal without a quick save. Gameplay is fantastic and very rewarding once you make it to the end of each level. This game is highly enjoyable and I can most definitely recommend it.
"Infiltrate & Extract" is a so/so student project from DigiPen and this time it looks like they at least instructed the students correctly. What do you do in the game? This 3D rendered stealth adventure game has you breaking into a vault by being stealthy, doing takedowns... okay, seriously, games like Hitman and even FPS games like Far Cry 24, 35 and 112 have stealth features and missions that eclipse the entirety of the gameplay here, and whether the students pass the course or not, we also need to remember this has been published as a product for gamers, it's going to be compared to other games on Steam. And yeah, it costs less, but money isn't the only precious resource that developers ask of gamers... time, for many of us, matters more. What will you do with the time that is given to you? I suggest, not playing this, to start with. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
Fun small game

I had to assert one of my rules to myself for another playthrough once I unlocked first-person mode. Already by then I was displeased with the particulars of what I experienced from a fixed point of view, but I would resolve myself to at least complete this mode, as it does seem to be the feature that sets it apart as a whole experience. Unfortunately the first person mode detracts further, as the camera seems to have been perched directly onto the model's head, giving it an uncomfortable jitter and sway even when standing still. I'll have to refrain from subjecting myself to "Sudden Death" mode. The game is an uncomplicated Nerve maze trailer fodder; the level design may have been the focus, but it feels divorced from every other element; ultimately game design is a sum of parts that compliment each other, and a level's design can only be as satisfying as it is to move through it. Compared to Ransack Raccoon's identical structure, it has the feeling of trying to be something that it isn't, including extra game modes that add up to very little. Certain designs feel polished and tuned, but to such a slow pace that it pushed the limit of my fun grade. Solo projects like Aftermoor or Beach Island Deluxe display a more unified theory of design, and intricacy in level design emerges out of their character design and freedom of movement. Infiltrate & Extract gets a C for Conjunction Without Distinction.
