Inferis: Dead Below

Inferis: Dead Below is an indie horror game I recently played and covered on my YouTube channel @spoofingistan. The devs reached out before release promoting their game after checking few clip i got interested and wish-listed the game, few weeks later game released and they sent me a free copy, which i really appreciated, after finishing the game here is my overall review. The story is typical ‘journalist’ setup, but the notes actually carry the narrative if you bother to read them. The environments are solid, but the game isn’t really scary. This is my 4th horror game which mean I’m really easy to scare, and even then most moments didn’t hit. the game had few good jump scares, but the monster design doesn’t look scary at all. Still, the team’s effort shows, and yes im definitely interested in their future projects. i'd give this one 5.2/10. I’d recommend this game for its environments. If you’re the type who enjoys atmosphere and world-building, it’s worth playing at least once just for that. I genuinely hope the devs carry what they learned here and push the environments even further in their next project.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, mein Name ist Saiti und ich streame regelmäßig Horror Auf TikTok. Ich muss dazu auch sagen, dass ich ein sehr guter Schauspieler bin. Allerdings war das Spiel so schlecht, dass ich selbst dort nicht vernünftig so tun konnte als hätte ich mich erschrocken. Die Grafik ist ass und zieht trotzdem zu viel Leistung meines Computers. Meine Zuschauer fanden das Spiel so kacke, dass Sie mich mit Bohnen gefütteret und mich beleidigt haben. Die Jumpscares waren schlecht und die Monster waren Lahm. Die Geräusche waren von Soundcloud und ich bin sehr enttschäutscht. Wegen euch hasst mich jetzt jeder weil ich fast eine Stunde euren Kack gespielt habe. Vielen Dank für nichts. Außerdem wurde mein Live deshalb sogar eingeschränkt für den Mist den ihr 'progarammiert´ habt. Sogar auf Temu kann man besser Horror spielen. Very short horror game, however shows lots of potential to expand upon in the future. Dev reached out with game key. Hope to see more from them in the future.

So, I completed Infernis: Dead Below.. I have to see in overall it's a nice game with a creepy atmosphere. Most of the jumpscares landed well but there were moments it felt a bit slacking. Especially with the combination with the sound design. Sometimes i jumpscared more from the sound than the actually terror in the game itself, which was a bit of a missed oppertunity. Big Thank You for Hemoria Studio for reaching out to me for this one. Fans of atmospheric and psychological horror, rejoice. This may be a short game at around an hour for a first playthrough, but I highly recommend taking your time and exploring everything it has to offer. The game is made really damn well — from the sounds, to the monsters, to the jump scares that are actually well timed and not cheap. The whole thing has an unsettling vibe that sticks with you.
