Feels like playing the movies so if you like them go for it, its super fun. DLC is cool too but not worth the 20€ in my opinion, get it on sale.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time as Indy. Was happy to see the Italians finally getting some love (and hits in the head with gardening tools). It was clear a lot of attention was put into the details - the in-game currency changes from lira, to sterling, then to baht. Did find the DLC story to be a bit confusing.
Did find the payoff at the end to be a bit underwhelming. Teleportation anywhere in the world isn't that amazing when you can just get on a plane and do exactly the same thing, just a bit slower. If it was travel to other planets, I'd have been more interested. But the game was incredible up to that point.
"It's over 16 times the detail..." Oh, we've heard that one before. The Great Circle stands out as the most truthful rendition of Indiana Jones ever put to game. An immersive story set in the late stage of the Second World War, filled with loads of detail and historical intricacies. Levels spanning from the sacred land of Vatican, through it's dark secrets down to the excavation sites soaked in the burning sun in Gizeh. With a great cast of characters such as our famous archeologist, Dr. Indiana Jones, you'll find everything, but boredom. From a technical point of view, the "MOTOR" engine, or should I say a heavily customized Id Tech 6, is being pushed to it's absolute limits. Although I was initially against the forced implementation of raytracing in this game, I think that MachineGames's approach to raytraced effects should be considered industry standard. Keyword being - Raytraced Global Illumination. It costs barely anything, but makes the game look considerably better. MG's engine is highly scalable across different hardware configurations. One can spend an eternity going through a variety of graphical settings to fine tune their experience, or just simply max out everything that is on offer, so long as their hardware can handle it. The graphics, although stylized in most places, they do look genuinely photorealistic. However, there are some odd places in which various models are rendered right in front of you, which can be offputting at times. Nevertheless, the animation work, especially the cutscenes, are of top quality. MG's animations department did an amazing job at capturing the essence of the earlier Indiana Jones movies. From lighting, to camera work. Everything was animated down to a tee. Even some small details, such as instability of the camera during movement, just as if it was produced in the 80's. Now that's some attention to detail! Go ahead and grab yourself a copy! You certainly won't regret it.
- Aventure - Exploration - Culture - Vous êtes Indi , vraiment - Graphisme basée sur le raytracing et tous les effets qui vont avec (prenez le temps de régler pour votre config - IA un peu à l'arrache
