It belongs in a GOTY museum
As of this review, I am about 1/4 through the campaign. I am having trouble finding a good comparision to this experience. Imagine playing Dishonored but with 7-10 massive levels, you aren't assassinating anyone. You are Indiana Jones, investigating stuff instead. There is light combat and stealth that matters. The world design is incredible, lively and detailed. I have played through the Vatican map to get my cat mummy back. It connected to a few smaller maps before it and it took me 6hrs to complete so far. I got 7 maps left. It is just peak game design, from the first person interactions, the map, the collectables, the dialogue(More on that in a bit) and sense of freedom to accomplish all the main and side quests. I am so impressed. The graphics in 4k are photo realistic. Jaw dropping at times. Even little corners are full of unique game assets, it is insane. I can't even imagine the work that was put in to filling the world out and making it lived in. There was a closet I stumbled across, filled with things that I could have walked past and easily never saw. The dedication to detail is next level. The dialogue, cutscenes and emergent story telling while playing. I cannot stress enough, when you play this seem-less experience. It is identical to watching a core Indiana Jones movie, but fresh, new, and a few dozen hours in length. The voice of Indiana Jones is done by the Legendary Troy Baker. He sounds like Harrison Ford in his prime, nobody could tell the difference between them. Troy was Joel, from The Last of Us. He played the Joker in Arkham Origins, Sam Drake in Uncharted, Pagan Min in Far Cry 4, and Booker in Bioshock Infinite, Ryu Hayabusa in Ninja Gaiden 3, and basically every animated/ game Marvel and DC character. I mean, if there was ever going to be a pick for any more Indiana Jones animated series or movies. They got the one. I recommend this game as a movie fan, a video game fan and it will surprise you if you are curious about jumping in. I think this is why the game rarely has a discount. 10/10 rating from me.
Like playing and watching another Indy story.
good
A Thrilling Masterpiece! It perfectly captures the cinematic nostalgia of the original trilogy, blending breathtaking globetrotting landscapes with top-tier storytelling and clever puzzles. The immersive perspective makes every whip-crack and fistfight feel incredibly visceral. It’s a nostalgic, action-packed journey that makes you truly feel like the world's greatest hero. A must-play!
Echt cool. Grafik könnte etwas besser sein aber sehr rundes Spielergebnis.
Words cannot describe the rush of adrenaline and nostalgia this game provides in droves and it is certainly a must play for any fan and appreciator of the pure genius of Lucas and Spielberg's initial creation. The graphics are smooth, the scenes transition well and the overall gameplay is enthralling and immersive; making you want to play on and discover more. I am not enjoying Order of Giants DLC as much as this base game as it is comprised mainly of puzzles whereby you get a better mix of everything in this base game. I am particularly enjoying the setting and entering into the world of 1937 and all of its associative props and sounds across many different areas of the globe (gives the 'impossible to have lived it but can imagine and then be it' vibe thanks to the power of technology; this also being the same vibe that emanated from the past viewings of the big screen Indie movies themselves! :) ) I would like to add that it doesn't matter if you haven't seen the Indie movies and have never even heard of Indiana Jones; as a standalone game - regardless the merchandise tie in - it is absolutely a worthwhile action and adventure game that provides a great story, eye-catching visuals and lots of interactive moments ! 10/10
