The bad settings are why I can not recommend this game. -The game will always reset your settings every time you lunch the game. -You can not use the ESC button to get out of settings. You always need to manually click ''options'' to go back. -If you use your keyboard to move in the map, it will disable you mouse. You have to close & relaunch the game to get access to your mouse. -Regarding the game itself, their salvation was to put a ''hint help'' option, otherwise some ''hidden cats'' are just to hard to find. Ex: Click on the TV controller button, to turn on the TV so that a cat appears. Ex: Click on the shower drain to show cat trap inside the drain! Ex: Click on the kitchen faucet to show cat trap inside the kitchen faucet!

8/10 хорошенькие хомячки, больше похожи на мышек
Lovely, fun and relaxing game. Loads of cute levels with nice art and cute animations.
Pleasant time-filler
Same concept as the In the Building: Cats series. Search different buildings, each with multiple internal areas and interactive objects. The rooms have different themes and drawn in pastel colours. The hint button helps locate some of the really small hamsters which can be used with no achievement penalty. I look forward to playing more of these in the future.

IN THE BUILDING: HAMSTERS, developed by Laush Dmitriy Sergeevich and published by Laush Studio, is a charming hidden-object game that embraces simplicity and coziness as its defining qualities. It invites players into a series of apartments where dozens upon dozens of tiny hamsters are hiding in the most unlikely places. The premise sounds simple enough—find the hamsters scattered around various rooms—but the way the game executes that concept creates an experience that is surprisingly relaxing, occasionally tricky, and consistently delightful. It’s not a game that overwhelms with story or mechanics; instead, it focuses entirely on the joy of discovery and the quiet satisfaction of noticing what others might overlook. The structure of the game is straightforward. There are five apartment buildings to explore, each filled with multiple rooms, and together they contain a total of 265 hidden hamsters waiting to be found. Each apartment has its own layout and character, though all share the same lived-in, slightly cluttered aesthetic. Your task is to methodically examine every corner, from the tops of wardrobes to the undersides of beds, from bathroom tiles to kitchen shelves. Hamsters can appear almost anywhere—curled up inside a pot, tucked behind a cushion, or peeking out from a stack of boxes. The experience is leisurely and open-ended; there are no time limits or penalties, only the quiet tension of trying to find that last elusive hamster before moving on to the next area. The gameplay loop is pure observation. You use the mouse to navigate through rooms, clicking and dragging objects to reveal what’s hidden beneath them. Every successful find rewards you with a small burst of satisfaction, enhanced by simple sound cues that confirm your discovery. The hint system is available for those moments when a hamster is particularly well hidden, though using it too often can dilute the challenge. Because of the sheer number of hamsters and the way they blend into their surroundings, some searches can take a while, but that’s part of the game’s rhythm. It encourages you to slow down, to look closely at your environment, and to appreciate the small details in each scene. This slow, methodical pace turns what could have been a repetitive activity into a kind of meditative routine, perfect for players looking to unwind rather than compete. Visually, the game is modest but functional. The graphics use simple, clean 3D models that prioritize clarity over realism, making it easier to distinguish interactive objects from background clutter. The apartments are colorful and cozy in their design, filled with recognizable household items that give each space a sense of everyday warmth. The attention to detail in object placement—stacks of books, fruit bowls, stuffed toys, and decorative lamps—helps make each room feel distinct, even if the overall style is minimalist. Lighting is soft and even, helping the game maintain a comfortable, inviting tone throughout. The hamsters themselves are small but expressive, adding a touch of humor when you finally spot one in an absurd hiding place. The sound design reinforces the game’s relaxing mood. Ambient noises like soft background hums and faint household sounds fill the silence without overwhelming it. Each hamster you find emits a subtle squeak or chime, providing a gentle sense of reward that complements the game’s low-stress pacing. There’s no traditional soundtrack constantly looping in the background; instead, the audio design relies on quiet moments and small feedback sounds to maintain focus and immersion. This minimalistic approach works well for the genre, ensuring that the player’s concentration remains on the search rather than being distracted by overstimulation. One of the game’s strengths lies in its accessibility. There are no complex mechanics, timers, or skill barriers, making it approachable for players of all ages and experience levels. It’s easy to pick up for a few minutes, find a handful of hamsters, and step away without feeling punished for stopping early. However, this simplicity also limits its depth. Once you’ve explored a few apartments, you’ve essentially experienced everything the game has to offer. The hiding places become predictable over time, and the sense of novelty fades slightly during longer play sessions. Still, for players who enjoy the relaxing satisfaction of hidden-object games, this repetition can be comforting rather than dull. It transforms the experience into something akin to a digital scavenger hunt—pleasantly repetitive, with a steady rhythm that’s easy to slip into after a long day. Replay value in IN THE BUILDING: HAMSTERS comes from completionism rather than surprise. With 265 hamsters to locate, the game naturally appeals to players who enjoy thoroughness and attention to detail. Finding every last one is a satisfying goal, especially for achievement hunters looking to complete the game’s modest list of Steam accomplishments. While the static layouts mean that once you’ve found everything there’s little incentive to replay, the process of getting there is what matters most. Each new room feels like another small mystery waiting to be solved, and the game rewards persistence and curiosity more than anything else. Overall, IN THE BUILDING: HAMSTERS succeeds because it understands its purpose. It doesn’t try to be a deep or complex experience; it’s a cozy, slow-paced hidden-object game built around calm observation and simple satisfaction. Its clean visuals, relaxed tone, and gentle feedback loops make it an ideal game for unwinding. Though it lacks variety and long-term depth, it delivers exactly what it promises—a peaceful series of rooms filled with small discoveries and quiet charm. For those who enjoy the process of searching, noticing, and collecting, this game provides a pleasant, almost therapeutic diversion. IN THE BUILDING: HAMSTERS may be small in scope, but within that simplicity lies its charm: a quiet celebration of curiosity, patience, and the tiny joys of finding something hidden right before your eyes.
