Boring and tedious, perfect for any IDF soldier.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was not expecting this to become one of my top ten horror games of all time, but after the first couple hours, it had already won me over. To be clear, this game is horror in the true sense, not a jump scare game. It does have its moments that made me jump, but I often found myself laughing after, due to the nature of the scares. It's clear the devs wanted to have fun with this game and they had A LOT of fun with it. While it isn't scary, the game had many tense and anxiety inducing segments throughout that really delivered on the horror front. The kind of things that have you constantly whipping around just make sure you are safe. On top of that, the game deals with heavier subjects that scratch at the back of your mind. I implore you to go out of your way and try to collect every piece of info you can, because it's all very compelling and tragic. Each chapter could have been its own game. They all play so differently, despite each taking full advantage of the many mechanics. Speaking of mechanics, there are so many unique mechanics to this game, I thought it might be hard to keep track of. Nearly every item you add to your kit has multiple uses and must be used to traverse, solve puzzles, and protect yourself during each chapter. One example being the mirror shard. I won't spoil anything, but in chapter 1 you get a shard of a broken mirror which is used to ward off attacks in chapter 1, locate objects and puzzle elements (even through walls), cut police tape, break wood boards, view invisible messages written on walls and floors, and I think you can even use it as a weapon, though I never tried attacking anything with it. Everything this game does, it does so in such a clever and unique way. It's also perfectly paced. I could knock out a chapter each night after work and go to bed on time, fully satisfied with what I had accomplished and having had a great time doing it. It doesn't drag itself out or overstay its welcome. Hell, I would have loved to play this game for 5x as long. Hopefully they decide to make a sequel or spiritual successor, because I want so many more of this type of game from minds like these. I could easily see this becoming a staple series in the horror genre, similar to Amnesia. Unlike amnesia though, an In Sound Mind series would likely be more focused, instead of changing the games whole format with each release. It's hard for me to put into words what actually makes this game special, you will simply have to play it. Anything more I could give you would spoil your first time play through and color your perception too much. This game is a masterpiece and a standout in the horror genre.
I'm drawn to write a review before finishing my first playthrough because of just how cool this game is. It feels like a strange mix of Source Engine level design, Alan Wake vibes, and a narrative that is strange but inventive. There's a surprising amount of action, but direct combat is uniquely handled. Ammo is scarce so you need to use environmental hazards and careful aim to survive encounters- with there being a solid selection of standard and zone-specific enemy types. Progression is unique, having a collect-a-thon approach to stat upgrades, and taking a few pages out of Metroid and Resident Evil's books for level traversal. Every piece of equipment and weapon you find is truly a tool, and the simple mechanics layer on top of one another in satisfying, engaging ways. The story is interesting enough, with plenty of charm from the passionate voice work and surprisingly strong worldbuilding. There are some seriously compelling aspects to the characters, creatures, and fantastical rules of the setting. It seems to be a high price for what it is on the surface, but I can gladly recommend In Sound Mind at its full cost. This game is a strange, thoughtful, spooky, and wholly engaging thriller that will have you hooked to credits.
Cool and innovative gameplay, nicely written story and some cool music on top. Highly recommended.
