About
A two player, one keyboard competitive and cooperative platform game for all ages, inspired by western cartoons and couch co-op multiplayer.
IMP & OAF are two amateur martial artists, fighting their way through a wacky city to find their missing sensei, Master Cheese. Help them traverse varied locations, talk to interesting characters, and learn a lesson about teamwork.
Mischievous Fun - Hop, float, and most of all kick your way across 3 distinct locations and 10 different levels. Fight over coins but work together to reach the end!
A Humorous Tone - Enjoy plenty of visual novel styled story cutscenes full of cartoonish personality.
Unique Controls - No need for two devices! Squeeze in close and share one keyboard or one controller.

Игра 'Imp and Oaf Kick Off!' В целом, 'Imp and Oaf Kick Off!'
Searching for the term "platformer" on Steam gives you over 17,000 results... there's thousands and thousands of garbage tier platformers infesting Steam. "Imp And Oaf Kick Off!" fits right into that category of retro 2D shovelware glutting the Steam store. Only a tiny number of those are any good, and this isn't one of them. This is a poorly made amateurish 2D action platformer where you control two martial artists (at the same time) and need to negotiate poorly assembled puzzle platformer levels. In the modern era of high quality bleeding edge PC gaming, these kinds of flat, lazy, lackluster platformers just don't cut it. Platforming is a dead genre for a reason. Even though this is "free", it failed to attract any interest for gamers here on Steam Direct for obvious reasons. The technical execution of this game is shallow and simplistic, just enough to tick the boxes required to get something (anything) published on Steam, rather than investing the huge amount of effort and budget needed to create a fully fledged, comprehensive, high quality product. This feels like a tech demo more than a full game. In terms of visuals, this features really godawful MS-Paint tier "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. The deplorably bad visuals here come across as an insult to gamers. Now onto pricing and value. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
