Alright. Played through a bit of [i]Ice Nosfe[/i], who is a giant creature you need to destroy on each of ten levels. This is exactly an old arcade/NES style game. You will find water refills. One will pop up in random spots as you collect the last one. Each type of enemy has different movement speeds. Your gun will turn them to ice after a certain amount of shots, which vary based on the enemy type. You then fire the ice at the Nosfe, reducing its health bar. When it reaches zero, the level is complete. You also have health in the form of five hearts. Each contact with an enemy reduces your health by one. I imagine this gets more difficult in the later levels. And that is exactly the game. If you have fond memories of older arcade games or just enjoy that style of gaming in general, this is the game for you. But once you already know the basic you are ready to go, its an RNG game which I like how it's not too frustrating that we can easily get HP than previous title by the dev. [h1]Nass gemacht [/h1] Wie andere Spiele der Entwickler hab ich auch diesen Titel über das Kuratorenprogramm [url=http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Drakeschool] meiner Steamgruppe[/url] bekommen. [b]Gameplay[/b] “Ice Nosfe” ist ein kleines 2D Spiel im Arcadestil, in dem wir mit unserem Helden Wasser verschießen. Damit machen wir die kleinen Gegner nass und machen uns aus ihnen Eiswürfel, mit denen wir in den großen Boss im kleinen Level dann fertig machen können. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist für diese Retrospiele typisch hoch und man kann sich dran versuchen. Es gibt zudem einen Couch-koopmodus. Das Spiel hat 10 Level, der Inhalt ist also schon ziemlich begrenzt. [b]Story[/b] Arcadespiele wie dieses haben bis auf eine kleine Beschreibung keine Geschichte. Enwickler Ferulox schickt mir die Spiele gerne zu, weil ich mal im Austausch mit denen stand. Der kleine indische Entwickler baut im Grunde nur Spiele im alten Arcadestil. Vielleicht sollten sie ihre wachsenden Spieleveröffentichungen bald mal günstig im Paket anbieten. [b]Grafik/Sound[/b] Die Grafik ist ziemlich simpel und wäre in den 80ern einem auch so in einer Spielhalle begegnet. Das trifft auch auf den 8Bit Soundtrack zu. [b]Fazit[/b] „Ice Nosfe“ ist wie alle Spiele des Entwicklers eher eine kleine Sache für Nostalgiker. Dabei hat mir das Spiel etwas weniger als die anderen Titel gefallen, weil das Gameplay nicht ganz so meins war. Das Spiel will nicht viel sein, ist aber dafür auch genau das, was es sein will. Im Grunde ist damit alles gesagt. Kann man bei Interesse für ein paar Cent mitnehmen, es sonst aber auch lassen. Interesse an noch mehr guten Reviews? I was gifted this game from the developer, so you shouldn't trust anything I say here. :) This is a simple but solid game. You have two types of enemies, the little baddies that wander around randomly and the big boss that is a floating head. Your weapon is water-based. You can shoot water at the little baddies, and frozen cubes at the big boss. The water can only be fired horizontally, and ice can be tossed in 8 directions. The ice has some simple physics so it can bounce around, but I just aimed it at the boss so physics did not play a big part of what I played. You have to kill the little baddies to charge up the ice cubes. The graphics are bright and NES-like but with more screen resolution. The movement of running around and getting on and off ladders feels very simplistic and slightly klunky. The enemy AI is also very basic. The audio is very old-school console. These qualities make the game feel more like a Commodore64 or NES game as opposed to a more finessed arcade experience. It looks and plays mechanically closer to 8-bit than 16-bit if that resonates. It's not a bad game at all. It offers a solid challenge, and well structured. It is just put together in a spartan way. I'm trying to be nice because the developer seems like a sweet guy and I do appreciate the gift. But this is how the game was for me. One word of advice: Go into Steam's Big Picture and set your X button to rapid-fire when held down.

Revenez dans les années 80, à l’époque des jeux rétro tel que Pac Man, Tetris, Bubble Bobble et bien d’autre ! Ice Nosfe est un jeu d’arcade inspiré de ces genres ! L’aventure peut se jouer jusqu’à 2 joueurs, vous incarnez ainsi les frères Van Helsing avec une mission bien précise : Vaincre Nosfe sur les terres de Transylvanie. Le déroulement des niveaux est très simple dans l’idée, mais très efficace, ainsi : - Vous vous équiperez de munitions. - Glacerez les monstres grâce à votre fusil de gel - Récupérerez les monstres gelés au nombre maximum de trois (indiqué sur le fusil), afin de détruire le Nosfe. Vous devrez ainsi faire ces taches à répétition jusqu’à vaincre le Nosfe tout en usant de votre réactivité et de votre agilité car les monstres ne cessent d’apparaître et de vous traquer ! Il y a un nombre total de 10 niveaux, plus vous avancerez dans les niveaux plus les ennemis et les boss seront coriaces et diversifiés. Concernant les touches, elles ne sont pas modifiables mais rassurez-vous elles sont bien paramétrées et conviennent parfaitement. A noter que la manette est compatible avec le jeu. A noter également que le jeu n’est pas disponible en Français, donc cette évaluation est un bon résumé si vous ne voulez pas vous embêter à traduire. Axes d’amélioration : - Une bande son un peu plus diversifiée. - Une HitBox plus réactive. - L’ajout éventuel d’un mode de jeu différent, ou de nouvelles idées d’objectifs ? Was sent a review copy as the Dev feels this is something Visually Impaired gamers will be able to enjoy. There are no options, nevermind accessibility options. So no text to speech to indicate what needs to be done. So I can only guess the basic graphics which have a degree of contrast and the fact there are very few options to work through to get into the game is why I was sent this? Could I play it? Just about. Will I play it again? Unlikely. Do I recommend it for the Visually Impaired? If you can make out the screen shots okay and like 8 bit platformers then go for it. Otherwise steer clear. I won't give it a thumbs down because it is cheap and does what it sets out to. Neither will I heartily recommend.

Great retro style title. Controller friendly. With the "X" button you shoot the smaller enemies to get ice with your water pistol. The player must then use the "Y" button to shoot ice at the main (large) enemy. The player can save 3 ice shots to shoot a larger ice shot at the main enemy. I purchased the game on sale for one dollar and one cent. I'm having a great time with this title. Overall, for one dollar and one cent, I'm enjoying it. It's actually quite addicting.
