I deserve a happy ending

This is a really nice visual novel! I've only got one ending so far (with the lovely elf), but it was incredibly cute. The character art is quite nice, and the rest of the art assets, although not original, look good and fit the story well. As other reviews have said, it's a bit of a pity we don't get anything worthy of even a +15 rating, but if you enjoy sweet and cute stories, with adventure, romance, and a bit of drama, then this VN is for you.

I enjoyed this cute story game, though to be fair I have a soft spot for stories where a character is aware of being part of a story and still must largely act in accordance with the plot. It's a game that requires you to play a couple routes to "unlock" more story, but is still fairly quick to go through and doesn't overstay it's welcome. Or take itself too seriously. The art is pretty good too with several pretty CGs. (The characters aren't particularly deep though, if that is a dealbraker for you.)

Pretty short game, the twist during the true ending was nice and felt correct for how the plot went during multiple playthroughs.

overall, i thought this was a pretty enjoyable visual novel. though i do feel like there could've been [i]more[/i] to it. the vn has a 1-3 hour run time (yes, that includes dlc and all routes included). it took me about an hour to get through it all. the parts i read were enjoyable, but i just think there could've been more to the story. especially since i love fantasy themes and i liked the idea where you have to help the main character create a happy ending. the art is rather pleasant to look at too, but sometimes there's a bit of awkward style shifts. this is especially shown in the action scenes where the characters are chibi-fied for no reason. if this was for comedic effect, i wouldn't bat too much of an eye. but with serious scenes it felt a little awkward. especially since the artist seems to have enough skills to be able to draw such scenes. the game interface itself seems to also be buggy. for some reason, when i loaded it up in my steam deck, the ren'py software kept giving me errors and i had to restart. luckily this didn't happen the other time i booted it up. if you also choose to implement the 18+ cgs, it's said that you cannot get certain cgs unless you turn off the dlc. which is a little strange. especially since typically in vns, there's already 18+ cg slots built in. i'm sure they could've added more in the dlc to put them in... maybe? despite these issues, i feel like it's a decent bl vn. i reccomend it if you're looking to kill some time and you enjoy fantasy themes or bl. i'd give this a very solid 7/10.
