I commissioned some ladybugs 4, developed by Follow the fun and published by I commissioned some series, continues a very particular style of hidden object design that prioritizes calm observation over challenge or mechanical complexity. It doesn’t try to reinvent the genre or introduce elaborate systems; instead, it refines a formula that is already familiar, focusing on visual detail, accessibility, and a relaxed pace that encourages players to take their time rather than rush toward completion. The core experience revolves around exploring a collection of hand-drawn illustrations and locating small, carefully hidden elements—primarily ladybugs and aphids—within densely packed scenes. Each image acts as a standalone puzzle, filled with layered details that reward patience and careful attention. There is no overarching narrative or progression system driving the player forward, which reinforces the game’s identity as a low-pressure activity. It’s designed to be picked up and played in short bursts or enjoyed in longer, uninterrupted sessions, depending on the player’s preference. What gives the game its strongest sense of identity is its artwork. Each scene is crafted with a distinct visual style, often created by different artists, resulting in a collection that feels varied despite the consistency of its gameplay. The illustrations are colorful, whimsical, and rich with small details that invite players to linger. Rather than simply serving as a backdrop for object hunting, the art becomes the main attraction, turning each level into something closer to an interactive illustration than a traditional puzzle. This emphasis on visual charm helps sustain interest even when the mechanics themselves remain unchanged. Mechanically, the game is intentionally straightforward. Players zoom and pan across each scene, clicking on objects as they find them, with optional hints available for those who need assistance. The inclusion of unlimited hints ensures that progress is never blocked, maintaining the game’s relaxed tone. There are also minor features that allow for replaying portions of a scene, offering a small degree of flexibility, but these additions do not significantly alter the core loop. The simplicity is both a strength and a limitation—it keeps the experience approachable, but also means that it offers little in the way of depth or evolution. The pacing remains consistently gentle throughout. There is no time pressure, no penalty for mistakes, and no escalation beyond the natural difficulty of spotting increasingly well-hidden objects. This makes the game particularly effective as a calming experience, almost meditative in nature. However, it also means that players seeking a sense of progression or increasing challenge may find the experience static. Once the player becomes accustomed to the format, there are few surprises left to discover. Visually, the presentation is cohesive and appealing, with a clean interface that stays out of the way and allows the artwork to take center stage. The use of bright colors and detailed compositions gives each scene its own personality, even if the underlying structure remains the same. The audio design complements this approach with soft, unobtrusive music that enhances the atmosphere without drawing attention away from the visuals. Together, these elements create a consistent and relaxing environment that aligns with the game’s overall intent. In terms of content, the game offers a modest amount of material, typically providing a few hours of gameplay depending on how thoroughly players explore each scene. While this makes it well-suited for casual play, it also limits its long-term appeal. Once all scenes have been completed, there is little incentive to return beyond personal enjoyment or completionist goals. The absence of deeper systems or unlockable content reinforces the idea that this is a self-contained experience rather than one designed for extended engagement. Ultimately, I commissioned some ladybugs 4 succeeds by committing fully to its niche. It delivers a polished, visually engaging hidden object experience that emphasizes relaxation and observation over challenge and progression. Its charm lies in its simplicity and consistency, offering a pleasant way to unwind rather than a complex or demanding gameplay experience. For players who enjoy this style of game, it provides exactly what it promises; for others, it may feel too limited in scope to leave a lasting impression. Rating: 7/10

this game is harder than the others which is great the bugs and ladybugs blend into the picture. I recommend for all ages it is relaxing and fun.
I’ve purchased all the “I commissioned some...” games, and i like all of them! It’s both challenging and incredibly fun. The bunnies and carrots are cleverly hidden among vibrant, abstract shapes, making them tricky to spot even though they’re technically in plain sight. It’s an impressive design that keeps you engaged and entertained. I highly recommend this game to hidden object fans who are looking for a relaxing yet stimulating experience. This game strikes a perfect balance and stands out as a must-play in the series. 😊
